I'd like to apologize to EastWest bank for my erroneous posts on this thread in which I mentioned them.

I just had the chance to talk with my friend -- the one I was posting about in post #71 of this thread -- and it turned out that the bank who tagged her was UnionBank, not EastWest bank. Sorry for the mistake.

And regarding substantial bank accounts with BDO, I found out that she had at that time more than 50M (she won't say exactly how much) with them in various deposit instruments. Despite being close to the BM who recommended her for the credit card, credit card division turned her down because she "owed" UnionBank 5k in unpaid annual dues + interest + penalties. That was BDO in 2015. I wonder how much is considered by BDO as substantial now.

Sobrang close naman kayo ng friend mo. Pati laman ng bank account niya sinasabi niya sayo.

Super laki ba ng utang sa CC? Or naka loan sa same bank?

Hinde pwede hostage ng banko yun kotse kung mas maliit yun utang na Amount sa value ng kotse and if there's no court order to do so. That's carnapping.

Pero kung Same bank yun car loan and yun CC yan pwede gawin

both car mortgage (fully paid na daw by the buyer!) and CC are with same bank.
the car buyer was inquiring for the amount in question, saying he may be willing to pay for it, but the bank reportedly refused to disclose the amount in question, as it would go against the bank secrecy law, daw.
i wonder, what had become of the poor car buyer's problem?

Pwede rin kasing ang situation is malaki ang pera sa bank but pinapaikot lang sa business and there is no growth in amount indicating business stability, thus medyo risky ang tingin ng bank kasi what if a transaction fails, then nakainan nayung principal na pinapaikot.
