All cryptos are dropping. What goes up fast must come down fast, too?[emoji52]

It went up too fast these past few weeks. Seems suspicious.

everybody's jumping on the "coin" bandwagon

creating their own coins/tokens to attract investors

or companies that include the word "blockchain" in their company name and see their stock prices rally

it's like the dotcom boom when everyone put .com in their company name and raised tons of money

One of my officemates invited me to join this, if I may use the word, craze...

Price back then was about 20,000 for a Bitcoin and suddenly went down to 13,000. Did I lose my money? I really can't say... I just "invested" a very small amount that I'm willing to "lose". Something that I can spend in a very fancy restaurant or an expensive pair of shoes, but instead of spending it that way, I put it in Bitcoin.

At the moment, I already have $11. This is after two weeks that I have started. Did I earn? I really can't say... I have to compute for the exchange rate together with the inflation rate. Unfortunately, I don't have the luxury of time to do it.

What I am really saying here is that I do hope to earn much with the amount of money I am willing to lose.

Unease in the Far East as Bitcoin drops below 12k. The US will wake up to FUD and panic and this will cause the price to dip even further. It's not doomsday, but expect support to be broken below $10k then dip even further.

Great buying opportunity for newbie investors. Those that bought large during Xmas to New Year's will be kicking themselves, though.

Pro tip: Check the price at about 10pm PH time and compare at 3am.

The Dow just flew past 26k. FOMO mode on in Wall Street right now. Lots of $$$ will be diverted from cryptos to stocks for the moment, so expect 10k support to be broken.

Should be a fun couple of days! ;-)

I really "lost" the money... but it's very small so I don't mind. I'm hoping that after a couple of months it will go up.

    crypto hype

the real winner: the brokers (basically bookies)

Bitcoin broker Coinbase booked $1 billion in revenue last year - Recode
The six-year-old company crossed $1 billion in revenue last year, Recode has learned from industry sources, a tremendous rise fueled by layman interest in both bitcoin and competing virtual currencies that users can buy and sell through the app.

The company’s valuation has likely at least doubled since its last valuation of $1.6 billion in August. Coinbase was only expected to do about $600 million in yearly revenue as of September 30, according to people with knowledge of the figures, but bitcoin’s run between Thanksgiving and Christmas boosted the company’s 2017 revenue to over $1 billion.
