......that kind of anti-theft device is a crap! 'coz it can only protect your car from a theft when unattended, what if you're inside(driver seat) at parking area with your engine running then at gunpoint by a theft declaring carnap!??it means he can take your hot car 'coz you've already started your engine and ready to roll.
......i strongly suggest you have to check it out what kind of anti-theft device installed on my car recently. attended car or not, running engine or not, even at gunpoint with your engine running or not juz hand-over your key/car and after 20secs. engine will shutdown and he can't start/run your car anymore then only you can start/run you car again...and all carnapping combinations will not work!its a total theft proof!&more security features. very discreet technology designed not to be cracked by carnapper wizards. LIFETIME WARRANTY PA!

I had a similar device in my previous ride... this one I just had it made myself and a friendly car electrician.

Basically my device is a "switch" to cut-off the power to the electric fuel pump. The switch I used is a stereo headphone plug and its corresponding socket. The plug is simply wired all its contact points together.

So before you start your car, you have to turn on your fuel pump by pluging in the headphone plug. If you started your engine and then pulled out the plug, the engine will idle about 10 to 20 seconds before stalling due to lack of fuel.

Its basically a type of fuelpump cut-off or ignition cut-off switch.

......not bad technique about ghosthunter anti-theft system & ofkurs yes-creative! but what if the carnapper wait for you to start your engine before taking your car or ask you to start your engine with gunpoint at you??? it means they can drive&take your car away which use to happen nowadays! that carnapping situation will not work with my "global tech anti-theft device" worth 15k w/lifetime warranty. if you can set-up 15-30k audio on your car or 35k+ of mags...,15k is nothing for the total security of your car. check my post at classifieds/security. its not only your car you can save but your life as well. act now b4 its too late!!! as per pnp record almost 200 cars was reported being carnapped every month.

actually the fuel pump kill switch is positioned near the door... so its pretty easy to pull out the plug without anyone noticing it.

It was designed with carjacking in mind.

    talking about anti-theft.

    any advice open ako..

My anti-theft device cost me a lot... Php 90,000 for a new garage. :D

I particularly like the idea of a fuel pump kill switch... what about going one further? I used to have an ECU killswitch hidden under my dashboard... but as no one has tried to carnap me... I've never had the chance to use it.

But the fuel pump killswitch is sneakier... they would be about 50 meters away before the car stops... enough time for you to run. :D

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

actually the fuel pump kill switch will stall the engine the moment when they floor the gas pedal... basically the engine will run on what gas is left in the fuel line (not much). You can try it by pulling out the fuse for the fuel pump from your car's fuse box (location may vary depending on the car make and model).

But even then, you'll be outside the car so you can run away... you can always go back for your car later, its not going anywhere with no gas going to the engine.

i used to have an alarm where, after starting the car and for some minutes after that, you have to enter a code otherwise mag a-alarm and then, mag shut down ang engine. i think when you open the door on the driver's side, you have to reenter the code again.

the upside is that i usually enter the code pag nakatakbo na ako at locked na ang lahat ng pintuan. if a carnapper wanted to get in can before i entered the code, i will just give him the keys and he wont get far

the downside is that you have to enter a code everytime you start the car and also when you open the door

medyo hassle lang talaga. one time, i got forgot to enter the code and the car stopped in the middle of the street with the alarm blaring. nakakahiya talaga! it took me sometime to shut it down

i wonder if this alarm is still being sold.

i do have a professional consultation fee but I'll waive it this time. ;)

As for the looks, that depends on what you can find to use as your "switch". Personally I'd suggest something that doesn't shine too much so it would be unnoticed even when you are carrying it in your hand.

Anyway, nearly anything can be used as a "switch". An audio headphone plug or a coax plug, etc. as long as it has two or more contact points. A plus-factor is if you can have a "ring" on it to hook it up with your car keys.

...for revoGSX, Global Tech price(15k) is nothing for the total security of your car! its the ultimate solution for any carnapping situation may arise, the "above" idea or technique is not bad but it won't work on "carjacking" i presume..!?!
unlike for Global Tech even at gunpoint while on parking(even w/your engine idling) juz let the carnapper take/run your car(w/o doing anything)then approx 15-23secs. engine will stop followed by loud siren and the carnapper will not be able to start the engine anymore prompting the him to panic and leave your car, then only you can start the engine again. you must see the our actual demo(2c is 2believe).definitely no hassle, you dont have to plug/unplug &carry any plug w/you as what being posted. LIFETIME WARRANTY pa yan mga 'tol! check it out..!(0916*******)
