you can also try fabricating stainless steel bars installed horizontally w/c looks good as window protector, they may force open or destroy your sliding window but the thief cannot get any goods/stuff inside or find a hard time reaching because of the hindrance you placed...

Wala pa po naging problem. Kahit nabasa nung Ondoy yung remote (ako ang lumusong sa tubig hindi yung sasakyan) and madaming beses na din nabagsak. So far, I've had no need to claim warranty work on it.

Ito na din pinakabit ko sa Crosswind XT ng friend ko early this year. Wala pa din problem sa kanya.

sir *otep, possible ba na wag na gamitin yun kasama na siren ng force? i backread this thread and you posted na you instructed jemson to use the signal lights instead of park lights to make it more OEM-like

ganyan din sana ang plano before i go there

    configure force alarm

    - to use signal lights
    - to use the horn as alarm siren
    - silent mode na lang pag arm /disarm click sa remote (para hindi nakakabulahaw sa kapitbahay/parking lot) is this possible btw, the horn will only sound pag na trigger ang alarm but not when arm/disarming?

    TIA

Kung open parking ng Podium po or the surrounding areas, very short range ang remote due to the radio transmitter towers in the vicinity po.

Pero yup, 3 to 4 cars away lang siya. Sakto lang po na if you are walking towards the vehicle and you disarm it, it won't be rearmed when you finally reach the vehicle po.

Finally went to Jimson's shop yesterday. Medyo naligaw pa ako since hindi ko agad nakita yung signage ng Jorge Radiator Shop, but eventually I found it. Jimson and his crew did a great job installing the Nautilus as back-up horn, adding a rocker switch to the dash. I also had my headlight bulbs switched to Osram Nightbreakers. He was even able to fix my faulty left turn signal (turns out the bulb was grounded to the body). So far so good; I can now switch at will between my stock horn and the Nautilus, which is an absolute joy to use. Ganda ng tunog! The Nightbreakers were also okay, but I suppose I need to have the headlights cleaned for maximum effect. Besides, I’m trying to use them sparingly on account of the rather short service life, but that's alright since I had my foglights replaced anyway.

The FORCE alarm system was a different story however, because there was NO alarm system to speak of. The FORCE alarm became a FALSE alarm, in a manner of speaking.

Turns out that the shops they usually buy from were either out of stock or closed for the day, which was quite disconcerting since I texted Jimson as early as Thursday that I would be coming over Sunday to avail of the alarm system; that meant they had three days to procure the unit prior to installation. I texted him again on Saturday night to ask for the meeting place, which should have served as further confirmation of my arrival. Another alarm brand, A-POWER, was being offered to me instead, but I refused since I don't have any feedback regarding the unit and I don’t feel comfortable being a guinea pig. And to his credit, Jimson was also hesitant to install it on the car since hindi daw niya masyadong gamay.

I tried to take things lightly since I was already there and I didn't want the trip to be a total waste, but I admit that I’m still quite disappointed. Yesterday was probably the only free time I had from family duties to go to Banawe for any reason (since I no longer work in Quezon City), and I had wanted to maximize the time and effort that day since I still have a lot of items on my list of car repairs/upgrades (suspension checkups, fluid replacements, brake refacing, etc.)

I mentioned having the foglights replaced. It was on an auto shop around half a kilometer from where I live; this was several hours before my scheduled appointment with Jimson. The shop proprietor asked me if I had an alarm installed, and she proudly showed me a new OEM MMAS unit, the kind used on the newer-generation Adventures. She was quoting me 4.5k including labor, but I politely declined since I was supremely confident about having the FORCE installed on my ride that afternoon. Little did I know that Jimson would fail to deliver on that part.

Of course I drove away with a new horn and new headlights, but in hindsight, those were just an afterthought; the FORCE alarm was the main reason I first contacted Jimson two months ago, on the strength of the glowing feedbacks from Doc OTEP and tsikot.com. I had to wait for my separation pay to be processed to get the necessary funds for my planned car-related fixes. Looks like I may have to miss out on the FORCE bandwagon entirely and settle for the MMAS alarm instead, even if it would set me back an extra 2.5k. At least the MMAS unit is readily available, easily compatible with my vehicle and I wouldn’t have to waste precious fuel driving 50 kilometers or so. The status LED light may have to be relocated elsewhere though, since I already used up the original slot for the horn switch.

Lesson learned: ALWAYS bring your own parts and accessories for installation, even if it's in Banawe (I do so for engine parts, looks like it will have to apply to electronics as well). Less hassle, especially if you live on the far side of the map.

I was there yesterday (FM tuner problem). What time did you drop by?

He has already done an A-Power system for my cousin and dad, AFAIK. But not on an Adventure.

Sorry to hear about the unavailability of the unit, though. And yes, I do bring my own stuff most of the time.

2pm, Doc. They were servicing a red Lancer at the time of my arrival, so mga 3pm or so na nasimulan yung sa akin.

To think that I was also planning to have a kill switch installed along with the FORCE alarm, since I don't trust anyone else to do it. Sayang...

Inabutan ko pa yung red Lancer (hindi nagawa kasi sunog talaga yung switch), and they did a blue Lancer (same body) also. Sila yung nakapark sa tapat ng shop, ako, across the street sa ginagawang resto. Siguro kakaalis ko lang when you got there.

    Jorge was doing a Feroza.

Yup, naabutan ko nga yung Feroza dun sa tapat ng law office. Before I left, nabanggit nga ni Jimson na dumaan ka daw.

It has been more than a year since nagpakabit ako ng alarm
kay Jameson. The alarm is working like new! Pati yung dome light
na ininstall niya - perfect! Parang bago! And I kid you not!

    I will pay him a visit early next year para naman sa car ng twins ko;
plan ko to have an alarm installed in it and have him check the wiring
of the car's radio, equalizer and amplifier.

Kapag si Jameson ang gumawa - panalo talaga! Yan ang totoo!
