I bought a Bluetooth ODB dongle last year, attached to my Escape. I paid 2500 for the dongle, you maybe able to buy something more cheaper. But you need to shell out 500 for the Torque app.

Be alerted, though, some cars don't work with the dongles. It didn't work with the Suzuki APV 2005.

bought a obd2 scanner via sulit. okay naman. i use it primarily to know the temp of our cars. di ako bilib sa idiot light.

i also used it to clear a check engine light. i partnered it with torque app.

Would be neater if you couple this with an Android capable HU.

Good for two hours continous operation.

Pag Torque ang ginamit, charging is futile.

    EQAddict,

Do you also have battery drain issues with Torque?

I tried the smartphone and the tablet, both circumstances connected to the charger. In a couple of hours Torque sucked the juice and, finally the charger couldn't sustain my gadgets, died out.

The chargers I'm using can power up an Ipod, supposedly rated at 2.1Amps, so I still find it hard to believe that the charger couldn't keep up with Torque. That's why I'm contemplating on an Android HU, at 25K as of this posting.

I think there's already a thread about this somewhere. I have an UltraGauge and a ScanGaugeII before that.

A dedicated display is best, IMO. No more juggling about with cables and mounting brackets. And the way I installed mine makes it flow really well with the rest of the car's instrument panel.

You can assign between 4-8 'digital gauges' per page and you can have up to eight pages. Here's an example of three of my custom pages:
