I'm driving my Ford Escape, and several times I noticed tool late that I had the handbrakes engaged while I'm driving. There are times I didn't notice the handbrake lamp. My bad.
Has anyone ever installed a device to send out an alarm when the handbrakes are engaged and the car is moving already? The alarm shouldn't be scaring, just gentle enough to remind the driver that the brakes are still on.
gawan mo ng relay, tapos micro switch sa gas pedal, at sa dulo buzzer.
pag naka ilaw ung handbrake lights, ung relay mo naka power din, so mag close position.
ung isang paa naka series sa micro switch, normally open, pero pag tinapakan mo ung gas pedal ma triger ung switch at mag close ito, then ung wire ikabit mo sa buzzer.
tutunog ang buzzer pag naka handbrake ka at tumapak ka ng gas pedal, regardless if moving ka or not.
Salamat sa suggestion mo. Pinag-iisipan ko yan noong dati pa. In your version, pag-nagrev ka lang, buzzer agad. Hassle. Yung microswitch dapat nasa gearbox. Sa MT, off ito pag nasa neutral, anywhere else, "warning: brakes still engaged"
For matics, in my case, naka-wired ito sa mga indicator lamps sa dashboard. Isip-isip...
Sa Ford Escape sana ko ilagay. Even with the brakes engaged, di mo ramdam na mabagal. Mapansin ko na lang sa dash pag tigan ang speed ko. In my other ride, Zuki APV, pag sobrang bagal, alam ko na naka-handbrake ako.
Not all cars had this warning feature. Extra vigilance required.
We did it before sa old honda accord limit switch lang nilagay ko pag nasa D mag alarm sya then to reset another limit switch connected to hand break lever pag naka lower na yung hand break ma cancel na yung alarm.
you might try tapping into the wire that sends electricity to the idiot warning light in the dash.... from the engine bay. look for it as it exits the fusebox.. at least there, you have more elbow room..
you can use it to activate a small buzzer... or the enterprise's red alert wail!
i am assuming your car has its fusebox in the engine bay, like other cars..
even the 'box above the driver's left knee is difficult to work on..
or you can try and access the mechanical switch that the brake lever de/activates when it is pulled up..
this should be easier and less dangerous to splice into..
good luck.
