If you're going to use Handbrake, then don't use Windows Movie Maker to edit the scenes! WMM maxes its outputs to 720p, and all of their settings are "lossy" so by the time you are transcoding with Handbrake, may konting degradation na ang source. Indeed, kung gagamit ka lang ng WMM, then use its built-in transcoding settings. I use the "Facebook" settings because it outputs clear video at 720p with negligible artifacts and a much lower filesize.
If you want to use Handbrake, then use Avidemux to edit the video and choose "copy" for both video and audio output, so that the file output will not be transcoded during editing.
Or you can forget Handbrake and use Avidemux directly to transcode the video after editing. Avidemux, like Handbrake, uses ffmpeg, and you can configure Avidemux to output similarly to Handbrake. Medyo matrabaho lang i-configure but it can be done.
