I stuck the adhesive on the dot matrix part of the windshield. Pag nasira tint, pwedeng yung part na yun lang palitan, hindi halata na may border. And besides, OEM20 lang tint ng Mazda ko so mura lang palitan. [emoji12]

Also, the A7 can be detached from the adhesive mount, so there's no need to remove the mount per se. Kaya permanent na siya dun unless magpalit ako dashcam.

Suction cups vibrate more than adhesives. Tried it personally. If the dashcam is mounted to a long stalk (as with most suction cup mounts), then any vibration is amplified and is noticeable on the video recording.

Here's a more detailed comparison of suction mounts vs. adhesive mounts:

Dash Cam Mounts! Adhesive Tapes or Suction Cups Mounts!

    Conclusion? Adhesive mounts are better.

I observed din na ang suction cup of the xiaoyi is not that concave. Meron lang syang lever which does the actual locking.
Yes suction cups damage tint, I experienced it firsthand before.

I have no regrets on this cam considering its video quality day and night and its features. Tested na rin ito under the scorching sun's heat from open parkings. Thing is when you start your car, battey voltage surge is too high enough that the cam starts and automatically shuts off in an instant. Never did this recur when I installed a kill switch. No big deal. Just when the engine settles, I just flick the switch on and there it goes.

Took the A7 for its first long trip (Manila-Pampanga-Manila) today. Absolutely no problem. It beeps when it turns on, and beeps when it turns off. I checked the footage and there are no lapsed periods. No voltage surge, pag-on ng makina, on din dashcam and automatic nagrerecord until I turn the car off again. No need for kill switch. Kabit and forget.
