In buying your new car blackbox its better to look for global brand develop and manufactured from either Korea or Taiwan. There are now two global brand of car blackbox like Inavi (Thinkware) and Vicovation sold locally in Philippines. In choosing your blackbox set-up its better to consider its temperature range capability (remember were living in tropical), video quality (720p or 1080p), gps.

GoPro Hero+3 as dashcam. Pros and Cons?

Just want to up this thread. Anyone who uses this and would recommend one? Where to buy it physically? Got to check out sa sulit kaso walang demo pics man lang ng kuha puro box lang. And if they have what brand?

waste of money, you can view videos unless you plug it in your computer or access it through your phone. there are tons of dashcams available at less than half the price that would be better than gopro for dashcam purposes. in my opinion gopro's aren't made to be dashcams, gopro's are better for other activities.

Actually sir meron nako. Kaso tuwing vacation lang kasi nagagamit. Naisip ko lang might as well use it as dashcam too kesa nakatago lang, since malinaw ang kuha. May dashcam nako kaso di ako satisfied eh.

Gano katagal yung recording na pwede at pano yung power mo? Sympre on/off lang yan diba?

^ Sir yung power is USB. Yung recording, pwede naman i-loop. Tapos automatic i-ni-split ni gopro yung files (could vary from 3, 6,...minutes). Let's say you had a 10 minute drive. Kapag tiningnan mo yung SD card mo split sila. Could be in 3 files, two 3-minutes and one 4-minutes video. Or random, depende sa reason na hindi ko alam.

i have a gopro also, ginamit ko din as dashcam but inconvenient. hirap gamitin as dashcam dami kung ano ano pipindutin tapos di ka pa sure kung nag rerecord na so you have to check the front of the camera if it's recoding na. eventually got tired of using it and never used it as a dashcam again. ngayon gamit ko iphone ko na lang as dashcam bought witness app and 1 click lang automatic record na wala na iisipin pa. dami din features na pang dashcam, just bought a mount for it and keep it plugged in pag nag drive.

Just an OT question: Since dashcams are always plugged in the cigar sockets, kapag nagstart kayo ng makina need paba hugutin? (just like the airconditioner, di muna dapat naka ON.)

sa gamit kong dashcam. di na kailangan tanggalin sa plug. automatic na sya mag ON pag may current from the cigarette lighter plug. and off after turning OFF the key. plus, the dashcam doesnt have that big a load to draw to affect the battery too much.

Very important sakin na clear ang dashcam ko because you'l never know what could happen. For me, investment to.

Item is 3800 pesos lang
then bought a class 10 32gb trascend sa greenhills.
Item has looping 3-5 or 10 mins.
then inooverwrite din niya ung lumang video pag ubos na 32gb
Also what i did, tinap ko sa ingnition ung wiring so when i turn on the key, on din siya. vice versa.
hassle kasi ung naka plug sa cigarette lighter, daming plugs hehe gulo gulo
