Patulong lang po ako dito. I recently purchased a backing/reverse camera similar to the one I used on my old vehicle (Chevrolet Optra), this the pic of the image of that camera before:

Getting a Sentra for a replacement of my daily driver, I bought the same HU and the same camera for the setup, unfortunately, here are some changes with the camera that I bought and the setup I had to change for the camera itself to work:

First, the camera I used before of the same model uses 12volts, as opposed to this one that just uses 9volts. I was hoping to replace it with the 12volts one, but the shop I bought it from has already had their supplier phasing that type out. So, as an alternative, I had to use a DC to DC adapter that I have to plug in the car's cigarette plug. To have no problem with seeing wires inside the car, I remedied the problem by buying a cigarette plug socket and wired it to the car's reverse/backing light. After installation, this is the result:

There seems to be an interference. I tried to eliminate it by removing the DC to DC Adapter and just plug the camera directly to the car's reverse light. Since the voltage is too much (about 3+ volts difference), it won't work. So I had to reconnect it with the DC Adapter. Initially, I thought it was the adapter causing the problem, but upon arriving home the night after, it was working fine. The image is crisp, no interference whatsoever.

After realizing that perhaps it isn't with the DC to DC Adapter, I tried to reverse the car up to the wall. While it's still far away, the camera is still crystal clear, but when I come near it (and at this point the camera's image should be better since the light emitted by the reverse light is helping), the interference returns. One thing I noticed more is that when I apply the brakes, the interference strengthens.

At daylight naman, grabe talaga interference. Pero pag gabi, wala naman unless mailawan na talaga ng maigi ung camera. What could be causing this? First time akong naka-experience ng camera na magkakaroon ng interference pag nasobrahan sa ilaw. Tried buying another one just for playing devil's advocate that the camera itself may be defective, but the outcome is still the same. Magulo parin yung image kapag under well-lit conditions.

Sabi ng mechanic, possible daw na mahina yung ampere rating nung reverse light. Sinubukan naming i-tap na lang sa AUX Video-in ng HU yung camera at baka tumino na, pero wala rin. So, is it really with the ampere rating? Or may iba pang factor dito? Kasi sinubukan ko na rin na paganahin siya sa bahay by connecting it to a TV and plugging it in using its included AC to DC adapter, maayos naman kahit well-lit pa yung paligid. Any clue? Wala talaga akong idea kung ba't nagkakaganito eh, kasi nung ginawa ko naman 'to sa Optra ko nun di nagkaproblema ng ganito.
