yup, i agree... yung mga stock fog lamps ng mga sedans (don't know about suv and such) are aimed just right.

Why is it that so many morons whose cars increasingly feature fog lamps don't understand or care when they should be on and when (almost always) they should not?
If foglamps are to be used or its intended use is for offroad or foggy conditions, then why the heck does manufaturers of sedans has this from the factory? Not much fog where I come from, but why do I have a foglamp installed from the factory? bottom line, foglamps are just like the altezza tails. No matter how much we hate them, they're here to stay. Learn to co-exist.

To those with this highly annoying and eye-straining habit, I offer three questions:

Do you think you look cool cruising around with your fogs on? Maybe to fellow boneheads you might, but not to anyone who actually knows what fog lamps are for. Leaving them on for no reason is simply stupid. Besides annoying other drivers, it wastes energy (fuel) and eventually burns out the bulbs so they're not available when you need them. Dumb!
this person is dumber than I thought. foglamp bulbs doesnt consume as much electricity, this is why we have an alternator

Do you think you're easier to see, and therefore safer, with fog lights on? If that's your motive, Einstein, why not run your high beams 24/7, too? Someone must have taught you that brights are bad for oncoming drivers, and you may have noticed that yourself. Guess you haven't noticed that most fogs are also bright and/or mis-aimed enough to be nearly as bad.
    1. foglamps are used to be seen
    2. high-beams are used to see

big difference but this wise guy doesnt see the difference and still compared and contrasted the two totally different uses of each light.

    Some worse than others
Some are worse offenders than others. Most BMWs have fogs, and their drivers (for the same reason they bought their Bimmers) nearly always leave them on. "Look at me!" they're trumpeting. "I have a BMW! Look, it has fog lamps! Ain't I cool?" Drivers of trucks and SUVs are making macho statements with their fogs. Pilots of sporty Pontiacs and tiny supercharged Subarus with fog lamps big as saucers are mostly BMW wannabes behaving accordingly.
as mentioned earlier, foglamps wont hurt oncoming traffic when they are aimed correctly. My [Subaru] foglamps are so low for me to blind on-coming traffic.

    DRLs
Then come DRLs (Daytime Running Lights), lower-power lamps that burn whenever the engine is running. Required for years in Canada and Sweden -- because they've been proven to reduce accidents by making vehicles easier to see in shadows and low-light conditions -- DRLs have become increasingly common here.
major accidents also occured when the driver thinks he/she has the headlight on mistaken the DRL as the headlight on. The driver gets rear ended, no one can see the car from behind. DRLs illuminates the front, not the rear where most cars are prone to accident.

karding...naka-on yata yung foglights mo in your avatar pic, hehe

hey, i am one of those a**hole bmw drivers with fog lights...guess i'm a moron. although i don't have them on all the time, and for those people who do get a lot of fog where they live (carolina, virginia, etc.) - they are very useful. if you do drive in fog, you're pretty much blind without fog lights.

although i have to agree with the author above that improperly aimed headlights and unnecessary driving lights are an eyestrain and very dangerous. however, properly aimed fog lights are NOT.

look at this fool. this author thinks bimmer owners are buying them for its foglights :hihihi: and BMW wannabes pala ako, hahaha. What makes this author thinks that people are wannabe BMWs [well, its performance and quality, but not the foglamps, hehe]. How can I believe/respect someone with this kind of comment? ahh, kids nowadays, cant afford a car or parents wouldnt want to buy them a car and instead, they bash on the people who can afford.

    Yellow fog cover

pero yung sa headlight ko, clear color.

karding....astig ang dating di ba?.. as in...

yellow para sa aking sapantaha ay masyadong alanganin sa kulay ng car mo and then clear headlight.

smoke ay may dating talaga instant sick ika nga.
