Hello tsikoteers,
Nabasa ko yung FAQ on HID at nagback-out ako dun sa bibilhan ko dapat. Newbie ako pero gusto ko sana magayos na ng kotse (Don't worry, not planning to be a rice boy, all stock and driving comfort all the way.) gusto ko rin simulan sa headlights since nahihinaan ako sa halogen.
I want HID because most of the time night driver ako since 3pm-12mn yung shift ko.
So ang problema ngayon saan ako puwede magpainstall nito, yung tipong kaledad na and wouldn't affect other driver's vision? Balak ko din sana magpapalit na rin ng headlights since sobrang luma na. Hopefully yung shop na walk in, bayad, install at uwi lang since ayokong gumagamit ng CC (just got out of CC debt). Doesn't really care about the cost basta kaledad, pero wag naman sana yung tipong 'tig 30k++++
Thanks.
P.S. Pa-add na rin kung saan puwede magpatanggal ng tint or if ever window glass replacement na rin. Thanks and God bless.

Havent tried HIDs with retrofits but our old B14 was okay with 90/100W all weather bulbs coupled with the upgraded wirings, relays and ceramic sockets. This will cost you around 2K all-in. Tapos palinis mo na rin yung headlamps.

First, bili ka muna nung clear headlamps and crystal lamps. Then, PM garyq for advice as to whether what kind of setup will suit you best. Alam mo, kay garyq kahit budget meal, ang ganda pa rin ng output. Lalo na yung mamahalin. Hehe.
Hindi ka naman aabutin ng 30k++ pero 5 digits sure yan.

January 20th, 2012 12:24 PM #9many levels ng lighting upgrade you can consider na walang safety issued with other motorists. Of course everything depends on your budget.
first option, change headlights to clear lens and get a good halogen bulb like the Philips XV. Yung stock HL mo kasi mahina talaga output nyan, sayang if you upgrade with good halogen bulbs. cost would be 3-4k for the clear HL, 2-3k for the halogen bulbs.
I wouldnt suggest going with 90/100w setup although you can try as I am not sure if the chrome finish of the reflector bowl can handle the added heat but of course you can try. Do this with the proper wiring harness and ceramic sockets. 1.5k for the harness, 1-2k for the bulbs
Definitely I would NOT suggest plug and play HIDs. Enough has been said about this. It just wont work without compromising other motorists.
3rd option is to go with HID projectors. Marami na nagkalat na installers neto from very cheap kits but as with many things, sa retrofit, you get what you pay for. If you get the right retrofitter, this is the best option for you. Max light without glare to other motorists. Basically an hid projector will be retrofitted inside your clear lens HL and the HID bulbs will be driven by a ballasts (35-50w).

Basically the right retrofitter is garyq himself.
Anyway, clear headlamps most likely have RHD ( \___\__ ) output. So beware.
