January 11th, 2005 11:48 AM #1pundi na naman po ang low beam ng headlight... napansin ko almost every 6 - 7 months ay may napupundi .. either yung high beam or yung low beam on at least one of the bulbs.... bakit kaya ganun?
any other options? ano ba diff kapag headlight bulb upgrade lang (to a higher color temp) as compared to a full blown HID kit? advantages? disadvantages?

first issue: could be two things... the quality of your bulbs may be the problem. used to happen to me before, wherein i use bulbs na made in taiwan ata yun which i buy from concorde (yung mga superwhites..). usually, three months lang ang tinatagal pundi na. reverted back to the stock headlights (bosch). magdadalawang taon na sya ngayon di pa rin pundido. make sure you use the same voltage/wattage. second item could be the wiring, baka may ground.
second issue: syempre, mas maganda quality ng output pag full blown HID kit. disadvantage: too expensive. usually costs around 15k. advantage: ang ganda, talagang maliwanag, pwedeng i-dismantle in case you will sell your car.

January 11th, 2005 05:33 PM #4check mo rin ang relay mo. Yung sa paj ko before, nagtaka ako regardless of brand, mabilis masira yung left side. Yun, may crack pala ang relay. So check for grounding. This assumes that one of your headlight goes out more often than the other even though both sides are the same brand. This may mean a wiring problem. If it happens to either side, then the brand/kind is suspect.

wowiesy it happens to me. from stock i change it to super white. just one week na pundi na yun low beam so palit uli. after mga two weeks ganun uli. so pina check ko. then they found out that the specs of the bulb is not the same as the stock. so in that case they recommend to put a relay or buy a philips brand na super white coz it has a built in relay. so yun ang ginawa ko. i change it to philips brand with built in relay.

teka, bakit yung sa akin..ang hina na talga ng output ng bulbs ko..parang nga wala akong ilaw pag naka-low beam eh..kailangan naka-high beam bago ko lang mapapansin na may ilaw ako sa daan..pero kung mag-isa lang naman ako sa road..maliwanag naman? is it time to change the bulbs (which i think is long overdue na rin) or change the whole wiring and change to a higher wattage bulbs?

sir, tama sila. check mo mga relay at saka grounding. switching to a higher wattage bulb will need to replace the relay too. kasi mas mataas ang wattage means mas mataas din ang current, kaya yung bulb ang unang nasisira.
