the thing is, I need suggestions on a bulb, that would have a good and bright light, Im thinking to have Osram or Philips? also, i have a Frosted lamp, ( im using a 1996 car) so Any Suggestions? di daw kc applicable ang white bulb (HID LOOk) sa Headlight ko eh, kc nga Frosted daw.. need help on this ASAP!!

OT: meron bang Crystal lamp for a 96 Honda City Exi? if yes, saan?? how much? may contact Number ka? anung name ng shop/store?

    Thanks tsikoteers...!!

use narva all weather lamps. mas bagay sa iyo yan na medyo mahina-hina na ang vista. if possible, have your headlamp wires upgraded so it can handle a higher voltage compared to stock.

stay away from the HID look. they don't work. real HIDs are better.

an option for you is to remove your front tints and replace it with a lighter one.

yes, the higher the wattage, the brighter it will be, but i personally think it has got to do with the bulbs. kung pure white, na HID look, useless maski mataas ang wattage. but, if you try to use the yellow ones as well as the all weather, kitang kita difference.

i had the dilemna like you months before. my car is tinted super black, including the front windshield. had it installed four years ago and it suits me fine, even while driving at night. tapos, the past few months, i noticed, medyo nababawasan na visibility ko (siguro tumatanda na). thought of removing my front windshield tints and replacing it with a lighter one, but i really cannot sacrifice the privacy that dark tints provide (nakakapangulangot ako while in traffic eh...).coupled with that, my tints still look new.

so i went to the next and more expensive alternative.... installed HID's... hehehehe. i am happy now.

HID bulbs aren't good with stock housings...mas maganda if you install HID bulbs with lamp housings which are made for HID bulbs.

If I were you, all weather lamps ako.

Im using Osram "hyper" 80/85 all weather medyo yellowish siya pero malakas ang buga! maganda talaga siya hindi kinakain ng spalto at rain
naka full tint pa ako sa windshield niyan
White bulbs = pure anesthetic purposes only hirap talaga makakita sa gabi lalo na pag umuulan
regarding sa crystal headlamp meron niyan sa evangelista

Why don't you put a lighter tint instead, for the safety of other drivers your overwattage lights might glare? Your increasing your light output may actually be doing them harm by glaring them and temporarily blinding them. This is more dangerous when people are crossing. Pedestrians cannot see because they rely on what is available; some cars have overpowering lights. Coupled with the heavy tint you might not be able to see them quicker. Finally think about this, you cannot see others as much due to the heavy tint, plus they cannot see you due to your higher wattage bulbs.

Don't forget to aim your lights properly too, sometimes it's just the little things.

    Washburn,

Sir tanong ko lang tungkol sa hyper na osram, recommended ba na to go for a higher wattage than 80/85? or stick to etong 80/85? kc mayroon ako na hid kaso sira na and i am planning to replace it with all weather. TIA

    +1.

People who misuse and abuse their driving lights (whether they are stock lamps, HIDs, or fog lamps) without regard for other motorists and pedestrians, I call them: Certified G.A.G.O. (Goons Aggressively Glaring Others).

Huwag maging G.A.G.O.; use your driving lights responsibly.

I just reread your first post, and concluded that you will never get any good light with the frosted lamp unless you have it cleaned and it's not pitted. Usually kapag mid-90's yung car or early 90's the headlamps aren't the best and it's usually frosted type with the refractor in the lens mismo, not in the reflector (unlike the crystal lens type). Hence you will just make it a lot worse for other drivers if you have overwattage bulbs because the lens isn't designed well, plus you're using more light so scattered na nga yung ilaw lalakasan mo pa.

Have them aimed properly first. Do not use fog lamps when it's raining. If you read the website I mentioned, having fog lamps in rain will make the pupils constrict because of readily available foreground light, thereby decreasing the amount of light you see. You may have more light sa foreground but you cannot concentrate far ahead, which is more important. This, coupled with your difficulty seeing, plus the black magic tint you have on your car, will essentially make you blind.

My final say is to have the tint removed or have a lighter shade installed, aim your lights properly, and have the headlamp lenses cleaned or replaced if already pitted. Chances are nag-yellow na sila from age and heat. If they're also the plastic lenses, you can have them cleaned to allow more light to get through.

    Hi Guys,

nadala ko na sa Tech ung sa Headlight ko and ang sabi nya is Ok pa naman daw ung Bulbs ko malakas pa ung buga, medyo may defect ng konti ung isa kong Headlight sa Kanan, prefer daw nya na palitan ko muna ung Buong Assembly before chaging the Bulbs,

    Btw,
they say na mas Ok pa rin daw ung Stock na wattage ng Bulbs kesa sa Overwattage? ung sa Alternator ata ung nasabi nya dun eh... Tingin nyo, Any Comments on the side Effect of using Over wattage Bulbs, for ex. is 80++ watts?

    Read all about it www.danielsternlighting.com

Going overwattage means you'll be taxing your alternator more than it was designed for. Upgrading the alternator, adding relays and higher gauge wiring usually helps.

i agree with mbeige...one has to consider the safety aspects of making modifications in one's vehicle...safety to the owner of the car and safety to the people around

so Hindi lng dapat ung Ceramic Socket/s ang dapat palitan pag nag GO-GO ka sa Overwattage na Bulb, pati configuration ng Alternator, kung tatagal at kung kakayanin ba nya ung ganung kataas na wattage..

Need advice on my Headlights,
