Yes, there is.

Output :

Bolt on - narrower range.

Retrofitted - wider range.

Bulbs :

Bolt on - uses the stock bulbs ( ex. H4 etc. etc. )

Retrofitted - has a different bulb ( ex. D2S etc. etc. )

Installation :

Bolt on - " clamped " in the headlight housing.

Retrofitted - the name says it all. needs retrofitting. requires more time.

Price :

Bolt on - 11k-14k

Retrofitted - 21k ++ ( depends on the materials used like the ballasts, hid etc. )

What's more worth it ... ?

Definitely the retrofitted projectors.
