headlight relay pwede D.I.Y. but kelangnan may alam ka sa electrical. medyo tricky kasi ng konti. sa lancer negative switching ang head lites so iba ang grounding. sa wiring naman i bought gauge 12 for my positve line and 14 for my grounding and relay triggers. bought my wires sa evangelista sa pasay. japan wires 120 per 10 meters. ok ito kasi makapal ang laman at hindi yung insulation lang. unbranded itong mga wires. as for the relays u can used 2, 1 for high beam, 1 for low. or you can also go 4 relays. mahirap i step by step ang pag relay ng headlite. i did mine in 1 whole day

100/90W bulbs can be opreated without having the difficulty of re-wiring the existing lines. I've done this before with stock wirings on Flosser 110/90W globes. I only changed the plastic socket into a ceramic unit for better heat capacity.
But if you are pertaining to the new H4 bulbs that claims 120/100W output, this only consumes the normal 60/55W current your daily headlights have. So no re-wiring is needed.

Thanks guys,
ungas, i bought a hella bulb rated at 100/90 so you mean its ok to leave the wiring as is and just buy a ceramic socket?
Sana ok na para magamit ko na yung bulb BTW my ride is 97 Lancer Glxi

Bago naman pa pala ride mo, oe wires are far-fetched better than the aftermarket Taiwan made wires.
Read the fine print carefully, nakasulat naman sa package kung norm 60/55W ang consumption. If not, change the sockets. Plastic sockets may cause it to melt because of direct contact to your new hotter bulbs.

but relaying your head lites really makes them brighter. one reason kasi the lites don't share the same positive source. its directly connected to your baterry. another gain is that you lighten the load of your possitve line to your accesories line. malaki talaga difference ng naka-relay headlites.
as for your bulb sockets melting. its because of loose contacts. ok lang kahit yung plastic ang gamit mo pero make sure the terminals inside are tight.
iceman, same ang ride natin. 97 glxi ltd.
Ungas, ayos yung patrol mo. galing nung bumpers. ayos b gawa namin ng glass polish sa patrol?

That's what I did before on my Tamaraw FX headlights, pina re-wire ko lahat, added relays and changed into ceramic sockets. Kaso di nagtagal mga bulbs, I had to change a couple of times. Nung makita ko ang culprit, andun sa cheapo Taiwan made wires pala. Di kinaya yung current draw ng Flosser 110/90W, tunaw mga balat ng wires. Next solution I found was to restore it back to oe wires with relays attached then changed into Flosser 135/110W until I sold the vehicle... nakalimutan ko tanggalin yung bulbs, ngayon wala na akong mabilhan ng Flosser.
OT: Ayus naman, kaso may napansin akong streaks na naiwan ng buffer sa may top portion ng windshield, hehehe. Tinamad na kong ibalik. :D
