You can use ceramic sockets inplace of stock plastic headlight sockets. But before you change them, better make sure there are no loose wirings that causes your plastic sockets to melt. Have an expert check all the headlight wirings to be sure.
mayroon Bosch na headlight sockets na gawa sa ceramic. di na kailangan ng spade terminals just strip a few mm of wire and stick it in their respective slots. spring loaded ang mga connections niya.
salamat po.... meron bang polarity ang headlight baka kasi magkamali ako eh
sundan mo nalang sa dati
kung alin ang left/right na nakatayo at yung isang nakahiga
Yes, there are actually three terminals to watch out for. One for high beam, one for dim pattern and a negative terminal. You can check each terminal using a tester or home made bulb tester. Disconnect the terminal from bulb, insert the probe in one of the terminals. Turn on light for dim or high then watch if the light goes off. If it doesn't light up you're probably hooked on the negative. Probe another terminal and repeat process.Originally posted by pentot2

Di ko alam pero I have the number: 731 4433.Originally posted by ssaloon
magkano yung nasa xenon bulbs booth?
You can also check www.xenon-bulbs.com for bulb models for each car. HTH.
Unless you're using high-wattage bulbs, di dapat lumambot yung sockets. Have them checked by an auto electrician.Originally posted by pentot2

AFAIK sa H4, when facing the headlight, sa right ang ground. Taas, ang low beam and left ang high beam.Originally posted by pentot2 meron bang polarity ang headlight baka kasi magkamali ako eh
I'm actually in the process of replacing my current headlight wiring system with thicker wires, new relays and ceramic sockets.
My questions would be:
1. Would anyone know if the headlight wiring system of AE101 Corolla's are positive switching or negative switching?
2. To those who have done this already, where did you run the new wirings & mount the relays?
I plan to use 4 relays total (1 each for the high beam and low beam for both bulbs).
Will use tap into the stock headlight socket to make it the switch that controls the high/low beams.
Any inputs would greatly be appreciated. Thanks tsikoteer!
AFAIK, negative switching.Originally posted by Gian

The wires run on top of the condenser while the relays are mounted on the engine bay sidewall.2. To those who have done this already, where did you run the new wirings & mount the relays?
IMO, 4 relays are overkill unless you'll be using low-amp relays or super-high-wattage bulbs.I plan to use 4 relays total (1 each for the high beam and low beam for both bulbs).
Don't forget the fuse.
Try to check your low and high beams after the installation. When using wiring harnesses for older corolla's, their low beam tend to light up with the high beams when using the highs.
thanks
Glenster, Same as the stock bulb 55w but white ang color nya.
