no..i dont agree na dapat mandatory ang headlight on...unless bike ang gamit which is mandatory talaga.

i dont use my hazard too during poor visibility. it should only be used during emergencies.

Di naman ikaw tinutukoy ko, alam ko naman na kayang kaya mo bumili ng LED park lights . Nakakainis lang minsan yung ibang mga kotse, kung ano anong burloloy nakalagay eh simpleng park light di ayaw palitan.

Bro, I have to disagree with you, hazzards are only used when your vehicle is disabled or parked, instead your your park lights, you hazzard kasi palaging naka on and off nakakahilo at minsan di mo alam kung nandun nga yung kotse sa harapan mo. Pag sira brake lights mo, iparada mo sa tabi bago ka maaksidente.

Helpful yung may DRL pag walang barrier yung median. Kitang kita yung kasalubong. Personally, park lights lang ginagamit ko, kasi madalas nakakalimutan kong patayin pag nag stop-over ako. hahaha

I noticed most vehicles in the Philippines don't have their lights on until its really, really dark. mostly parking lights lang ang ginagamit and its dangerous lalo na the driving habits sa pinas. i think daytime running lights will play a major factor sa pinas and it also improves visibility in the daytime lalo na sa mga 2-way traffic when you use the opposite lane to pass another vehicle. Lets take advantage of these safety options and save lives......our family's lives.

amen. during poor or zero visibilty, dont risk it. move to the side of the road, park it, THEN use the hazard. (according to this book that ive read)

reminded me of saturday night (nung bumubuhos ulan) halos lahat ng mga kotse nakahazard. nakakaduling tuloy not only that but dami nag-o-occupy ng dalawang lanes. pambihira..

I personally subscribe to the idea of having daylight running lights, especially on the highway or long drives.

I have installed daylight running lights (below my regular headlights and with separate switch from headlights) and a third light (courtesy light) at the lower left part of the rear bumper. Both DRL and Courtesy light are operated with one switch.

I turn this on religiously (day or night) on the SLEX, NLEX and when doing any long road trips. I turn them off when only driving around in the city.

I personally find this very safe. People see me from a far, whether from the front or from the rear. This does nothing for me to see the road better during the day. I think that the point of the DRL is for people to notice you more and avoid any sudden moves that may cause any accident.

depending on the visibility and road condition, i always use and follow this: the park lights, then headlights, then hazzard
there are cases na mahirap talaga makita mga ilaw (pag puti, like headlights) so i use the hazzard para kitang-kita agad. kung talagang masama na, then dun lang ako tatabi. but there are cases na walang ring shoulder (or napakaliit ng shoulder) like sa slex. so id rather trod along slowly and cautiously until i find a safe spot to wait it out.

parang sa mga parking sa bldgs, i always use the parklights and headlights, so di magugulat kasalubong ko.
    just my opinion po.

Way back when i went to California, i rented a Mazda 626 at Hertz Car Rental. After about 2 days of driving, i noticed that my headlights were always ON as soon as i started the engine - and i could not switch them off. So i returned the car to Hertz and complained that the headlights were broken because i couldn't switch them off even during daytime driving. That was when i was told that the headlights were hard-wired because it was required by law to have them always ON even during daytime.

Twice also, i was pulled over by police for driving with the headlights at high-beam.

I was also pulled over after i tried to overtake a police car on the freeway. It was then i learned that the police car was cruising at 65 mph, so if you tried to overtake the patrol car, it means you are travelling over the speed limit (which is incidentally 65 mph). :praning:

Driving in the States is really much safer than here in Pinas. I think mainly because of law enforcement.
