It depends for what usage you plan to, driving beam, pencil cut beam, fog light beam. The bigger the housing the better, even 50W bulbs will work with wonders.

i travel up north every other week, and im not really that confident with the lights i have on right now, even more so if the weather's terrible. i hope that these Hella lamps would be the trick to fix my problem.
Guys,
before buying higher wattage bulbs, make sure na malinis yung lens ng headlites, kasi kahit anong palit mo ng bulb kung madulmi yung lens wala rin... we've cleaned head lites before na malaki ang niliwanag ng ilaw without changing the bulb.
What is your ride? Do you have sufficient space to put on aftermarket lights? Stock headlight assemblies are more suited for highway & city wide roads, they illuminate such areas without glaring oncoming traffics. For provincial roads, you will need extra lights especially if there are no distinctive road lights along the way.Originally Posted by bougartt

For the CRV pwede naman ata but for the altis walang space.
how about those roof rail clip-on Raybrig spotlights on crvs, revos etc? pang fog din ba un?
Kelangan nyo ng bumper overrider para sa CRV, gen1 or gen2? Dun ikakabit yung foggies. Round 7" pwede na. Wala nga malalagyan sa Altis, unless you bore holes on lower bumper portion beside your plates.Originally Posted by bougartt
Sinubukan ni KCboy yung kanya dati sa Zambales, foggy nung pababa kami. Di nag penetrate yung ilaw.Originally Posted by BlueBimmer
Philips VisionPlus and Osram Siverstar are both halogens (thus yellowish) but with claimed 50% better illumination. Both got good reviews and are recommended upgrades to oem bulbs. Both are for all-weather use, too.Originally Posted by fakesaint
Agree with you on Civics. The beam pattern on the Civics isn't good ... sabog siya, hence the glare. Newer car models don't necessarily improve on that aspect either. E.g. the older BMW E36 is better than the E46 ... a pronounced straight line across the road, with a farther throw on the shoulder-side.Originally Posted by vinj

Due to legal requirements and costs, hindi ako makabili at makasubok ng HIDs. In the end I chose the VisionPlus halogens. The Silverstar is a bit better, but the increase in cost isn't worth it.
Just my 2cents.
Pwede philips visionplus dyan, stock din ang color niyan, kaya lang mas malayo't malawak ang naabot ng ilaw.Originally Posted by akuma

sir, not sure abt the fog lights sorry, pero yung cabinet nila merong Wurth (P610.00 yung H7), philips at osram ata yun isang. H7 kc yung bulb ko.Originally Posted by silhouette
btw, there's a big difference sa ilaw ng Philips visionplus(H7 55w) compared to Wurth na brand with same specs. yung left headlight ko is philips while that on the left is Wurth. LOL, IMO parang ilaw ng trike yung Wurth compared to philips. hehehe ...![]()
Am also using Philips Visionplus, malakas talaga ilaw niyan, but according to some websites, mas malakas pa ng konti ang Osram Silverstar.

Mas malakas nga ng konti ang Osram, but not much. If it's cheaper or at the same price as Philips, get the Osram Silverstar. If it's more expensive, go for Philips VisionPlus as you're not going to miss much, imho.
Yung rated life ng silverstar is rather low, for my car I checked and nasa 150 hours lang yung rated lifespan, compared sa 1,500 hours for the regular halogen bulbs.
