August 3rd, 2006 03:13 PM #1Vehicle is a 1998 Starex 2.6l (D4BB) automatic. This morning after loading about 13 liters of fuel (envirotek diesel), on acceleration or when cruising at engine revs the "fuel light" lits dimly, fuel gauge is at 1/3. Any idea on what would cause this. Thanks.

You might need to check the floater inside your gas tank. It might not be...well, "floating" properly anymore. Also, the "sender" or the sensor that sends signals on whether you have petrol or not might be buggy already.

August 3rd, 2006 03:36 PM #3Thanks, but I think it still floats since after loading the needle went up to the 1/3 mark, which is a significant increase/difference from it's previous position.
Choice I would have made as well.
