by that logic we should all petition the us government to outlaw the viper, corvette, m5, wrx sti, all porsches, ferraris and lamborghinis

:hihihi: or we can refer to them as dumb drivers (according to Paul's logical assumption) :bwahaha:

I wonder how did Paul and ale828 knew it 'was' an american and not any other ethnicity  who is responsible for that accident.

oh yeah.. .that includes a moonroof and wing... standard evo doesn't have it normally... normal evo is around 28,XXX USD...

One complaint I have about it though is the roof at the rear is pretty low. My officemate who's 6 flat hits his head (he had to bend his head down) when he sat behind. Kakaturn off tuloy...

I highly disagree with you spazzkid. Even Suby STi owners are hands-down when asked who's faster and... it's been proven soo many times that EVO VIII is faster, even if STi has 300HP. Equal drivers, both being stock.

    FASTER=EVO VIII
More Comfortable for Daily driving= STi.

Now, STi owners are getting punked and a laugh of a crowed for having too big of a scoop :bwahaha: and can't even back it up side by side with EVO VIII. I'm a WRX owner, but much respect for that EVO VIII.

need4speed, I'm sick n tired of you trying to acomodate and think about your passenger's well being when they ride your car. It's your ****en car, if they wont fit, then dont give them a ****en ride. If you want something to accomodate evena 7foot scrub, get yourself a FAMILY VAN. That should fit all your neighbors that you would wanna give a ride to.

    :hihihi:

btw, Archie from HCP who's been here in CA for two months got himself a white EVO VIII sunroof and CF Wings for $34K OTD. Now, go get yourself one.

i totally agree with Tito Karding... lol...

The Evo 8, despite having a lower HP rating outran the Scooby in a one on one test done by Car and Driving Mag. The comparison stated that the Evo was more fun to drive, but the Scooby was more comfortable.

And now to address your concern Tito Karding... lol (btw... you look so handsome in your friendster page.... hehee). It's not only my scrubs that have to ride with me. Hahaha !!!! My parents who occasionaly drop by have to as well. My parents are pretty tall so they just might hit the ceiling at the back as well.). PLUS!!!! With that kinda price, the BMW 325xi (4WD) looks pretty tempting... niyahahaha!!!
I've gone around car shopping already and pretty much nailed it down to a few cars na lang... Either before I leave for Manila this Dec. or when I come back from Manila, I'd get my "Final Answer" on which car I'd choose.

    drooling in anticipation!!! lol

well sorry to offend folks from the states. well, all the cars mentioned by m54powered bar the wrx are expensive vehicles in their own right, while te evo and the sti are very accesible due to their price.

people who can buy these expensive cars (viper, corvette, m5, all porsches, ferraris and lamborghinis) i bet are old folks anyway who won't drive their machines everyday and if they do they'll not drive them hard.

the evo and wrx can be had by hard-charging young inexperienced drivers who are experiencing wrc power for the first time. the states advocate top speed, hence, the huge fans for CART, NASCAR and similar oval-run races.

and when the decision is made, make sure to do the brake-in period onyour way to CA

Paul, I dont think you offended anyone, your logic is what we call here in the states... RACIST or a RACIAL SLUR.

What's your definition of "hard-charging young inexperienced drivers who are experiencing wrc power for the first time"? AMERICANS? :bwahaha: You are not just being a RACIST but you are trying to GENERALIZE everyone in the states.

By using the word AMERICANS, you are hereby found guilty of:

    rac·ism
1 : a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race
2 : racial prejudice or discrimination

    :hihihi:

About a week pero on a serious note, brake-in period shouldn't be on a highway. It should be stop-n-go and highway driving combo. Redline once within a brake-in period, best if you do it in 3rd gear shifting up to 4th. Of course, no more than 4,000K RPM throughout the brake-in period with the exception of redline ONCE.

paul, you didn't offend me bro - no worries. i'm just asking you to be cautious about generalizing. as to your point about expensive vs. inexpensive cars, they have sold the camaro ss and mustang cobra here for years (under $30k, 300+ hp) - not to mention the old school chargers, challengers, chevelles and dusters that gave you 300+ hp for about $5k (and 1960's era safety and traction equipment!)...somehow most americans survived.

i'm not gonna argue with you and say there aren't any stupid, dangerous drivers here in the us....but so does the philippines (or any country for that matter). you even have a whole forum (goon squad) dedicated to these morons...

    peace man

how long is the break in period ba dude? How many miles?
Sanay ako sa manila eh... 1000 km. ... ano ba dito sa tate? pano style? A week can be anything kasi eh... my office is pretty close to my house... so a week's worth of driving maybe is only 100 miles worth or less.

minimum distance during the brake-in period should be 10miles. From home to work, 6 miles lang ang layo ko. Pero nung brake-in period ako, naghanap ako ng longer way para sakto or over 10 miles. Brake-in period lasts until after 3,000miles.
