Had this interesting discussion with a friend. Are more and more cars that are coming out no longer using the H4 bulb types?
Yung lancer kasi usually H4 but right now projector types na din. HIwalay hi and low.

We both have lancers so d naman kabisado yung ibang car types. Cars that I know of na hindi din H4, H1&H7 most likely. Altis and Sentra, Civic din yata?
How about mga SUV or pickups? Expeditions, F150, Pajero, L200, etc?

    Ang question also is why??

Based from what I have seen, Expeditions and F-150's sport the 9007 bulb type. Maybe its because of their headlight prism design and technology. (someone please correct me on this if I might be wrong)

The Tonka Pajeros, L200, Safari's still have the age old H4 design bulb. While our Starex van uses 3 different kinds of bulbs; H4 for dim and bright mode, H1 for bright (which is also more common bulb on fog lights because of its light intensity), and H3 for its driving light near the corner bumper.

Newer cars have changed their bulbs primarily because of their new headlamp design. Which the H4 will not suit with their clear lens and reflector prism type.

My 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse (and up to 2003) still uses H4 bulbs.
