    Hi y'all!

    Im new to Tsikot.

The reason why I joined is due this very unfortunate dilemma:

I rammed my car (Toyota Vios 2009) into a road sign. It's been 1 week since the incident. Right now, my car is still here with me at home. It's been leaking engine oil and freon. Di ko na nga ginagamit. I already had it checked with Toyota, here in Cagayan de Oro. Natingnan na rin ng Federal Phoenix, which is our insurance provider. The car is insured up to 659,000. Nang natingnan ng taga-Federal Phoenix, sabi nila 108,000Php na raw so far ang cost ng damage. Im panicking!

How much will I be paying? Di pa nag 1 year sasakyan ko. And i dont know what to do with my car??? Baka masisira car ko pag natagalan na until now, its still leaking oil

let them assess your car, toyota ang insurance, but, check mu din baka naduduga ka na ah, just keep in touch with your service advisor and adjuster.

di ba may insurance ka, participation fee lang naman kadalasan ang binabayaran e. i think wont be less than 10k since malake ang damage ng auto mo.

diba cover ng inbsurance ang self-damage?

    sorry TS, accidents happen talaga.

Ask the insurance company what you need to do and documents you would have to provide.

Generally, the insurance company will provide you with a short list of accredited repair shops which may or may not include the casa. You will have to bring the car there for repairs to be done.

The amount you will have to pay is usually between 3000 to 5000 pesos. The remaining balance will be paid by the insurance company.

OH NO! They already assessed it. In-house insurance ng Toyota ang Federal Phoenix. ****.

Own damage ung insurance namin...

Hi ghosthunter! Thanks... Napahinga ako ng maluwag sa reply mo. Completed ko na yung requirements. All im waiting for is the Letter of Approval from Federal Phoenix. The repair will be done in Toyota mismo. Thanks for letting me know the 3k - 5k thingy. WHEWWWWW it really means a WHOLE LOT to me. Di na ako makatulog ng mabuti, i always have this sinking feeling in my gut.

Bummer talaga. Ive been driving a car since 18 years old. Now that I'm 26, I'm commuting TO and FROM school. Nakaka-asar, napaka-inconvenient, pero i cant do anything about it, its my fault talaga. But thanks for your reply. Really.

Why not just call up your insurance company and ask how much participation you need to pay so you will know once and for all?

Avoiding it will not make the problem go away. In fact, you might be making yourself a nervous wreak for reasons unnecessary.

participation fee is typically 0.5% of the value of the insured vehicle. this can go as high as 1% in some insurance companies.

    Good luck.

ang alam ko participation is a fixed cost. not on a percentage basis.

dont worry TS, since 1 year pa lang oto, participation lang babayaran, theres no depreciation cost pa on parts.

wag ka paloko na after 50k gagatos ka na. thats what insurance are for, to have the peace of mind. basta comprehensive insurance, nothing to worry about TS.
