Kapag pinasok mo sa casa ng Toyota, Peoples Gen cannot dispute or recanvass the spare parts anymore.
Going back to Toyota, since partner ang Toyota with Peoples Gen, wala nang hassle sa canvassing.

January 13th, 2011 11:18 AM #83I'm not sure how people's gen works. But many insurance companies still canvass for the price of the parts even if its from the casa, coz a lot of times, they are grossly overpriced. Insurance companies still do haggle with them, oftentimes on a percentage basis. It's usually 20%-30% on body parts and 5%-10% on mechanical parts, can go higher or lower, depending on the casa and the arrangement. Insurance can actually supply the parts even if it's gonna be repaired in toyota or any other casa if they cant match the prices outside, especially if it is the exterior body panels.

Honestly, it's difficult to imagine why Toyota would agree to use spare parts purchased outside of their own Toyota inventory simply because it is cheaper outside. And besides, if a mortgaged car has a contractual obligation to have the car repaired from the Toyota Service Center, Toyota will insist to use its own spare parts at its fixed price because they know the insurance company is contractually obligated to pay for it.
That's exactly the reason why you take your car to the casa. To have the assurance and peace of mind that you are getting authentic Toyota-branded genuine parts and warranty.

i agree.. hindi naman pumapayag ang toyota na gumamit nang parts na hindi galing sa kanila.. what insurance companies do eh they agree to use oem parts from toyota tapos they haggle for the price.. usually they get 10% discount from Toyota.. that's it..

January 13th, 2011 01:13 PM #86Just speaking from experience peeps. Here are some stuff I will share with you. They subcontract the repair of your cars to other smaller talyer. Have you ever wondered why sometimes you are not allowed to see your car when they are inside the casa? and then they will just tell you to wait for what seems like an eternity. Well, thats because the car is probably somewhere else. They dont replace your damaged body parts sometimes even if insurance approved for the replacement. They have a way of repairing body panels without any noticeable differences. They change your original parts into replacement parts. many of their employees are just trainees overseen by an experienced supervisor and/or manager. a lot of times these trainees go on and open up their own talyer or choose to work independently for other talyer. I have encountered these things when I was still working in an insurance company. The best way to safeguard your car actually is to befriend a nice local talyer where you can become friends with the owner.
Of course, these things might not be that widespread, but they do happen.

So yung 4K na difference, paghahatian nung Toyota agent at nung Insurance agent.
But again, like i said, kung legal procedure ang pag-uusapan, I don't think Toyota has any motive to "subcontract" the job sa talyer gayung meron naman silang in-house Toyota mechanics na obligadong bayaran nung insurance.

That is how a mechanic starts his career. First as a trainee, then much later
to a business owner.
By the way derf, may narinig ka na ba na insurance agent na nakiki pag conspire sa
casa eh hindi nga sila welcome doon?
Mayroon ako naririnig na namimili ng LOA. Pinaka madaling kita. 10% kaagad ang cut.
Conspiracy?
binibili nila LOA.(or the LOA has been spoken for)
Babayaran nila agad ng CASH ang CASA or repair shop then
Some repairshop sells this LOA for SPOT CASH as a form of cash management
But what do I know?Last edited by mark_t; January 13th, 2011 at 08:56 PM.

Bawal yon. RATES ang usapan, walang hati. You work hard to enjoy
your special project. If your dignity is questioned by your insurance co.
Last edited by mark_t; January 13th, 2011 at 09:06 PM.
