Clarification about Comprehensive Insurance

Hi, just want to clarify something...When we renew our registration of our vehicle insurance is usually goes along with it. I want to know if i have already renewed my registration and the TPL insurance, then i want to apply for a new comprehensive insurance would this be a problem with the LTO?

I want to know, if i have already renewed my registration and the TPL insurance, and then i want to apply for a new comprehensive insurance would this be a problem with the LTO? o OK lang po na may TPL tapos apply ulit ng Comprehensive kahit narenew na yung registration.?

TPL sa car registration lang un bro and that usually cover the passengers lang. Comprehensive Insurance is different from TPL and independent of your car's LTO registration. ;) Kaya pwedeng pwede ka kumuha ng Compre anytime.

It's not a problem. Kailangan lang naman talaga ng LTO yung CTPL insurance lang para kumita sila, este para may protection pala ang publiko. Basic coverage lang kasi ang CTPL, pag nakabangga ka lang ng tao ang coverage niya, up to a maximum of 100k pesos if death. Kaya't kulang na kulang yun. So you can get your comprehensive anytime after registration. But preferable you get it in a package with the CTPL, para in case of accident espeically body injury, mas madali ang mag claim.Ilan sa mga CTPL policies na nakukuha sa LTO ay galing sa mga fly-by-night insurers (hindi lahat), meaning if it should happen that you hit someone, chances are you might not be able to claim.

So always get the maximum BI PD cover for compre.

And 2 policies for your car if not covered with compre.

1. CTPL

PLUS

2. TPL

= BI=200,000
PD=100,000
