Curious lang ako kung ano banko si MazingerZ...I was approved by BPI but still exploring other options.

Banco de Oro. Imho, they are more bang for the buck than BPI-FB.

for one:

a) they give our free gas although onti lang, pero better than nothing.
b) they give out portable DVD players. i just don't know kung meron pa sila neto.
c) for BPI-FB, medyo mabilis humatak yan. I think their tolerance is around 2 months. Sa BDO, pag nagkaproblema, i know people who have extended their monthly amortizations to as long as 6 months. Baka pag si Maz kausap mo, baka kaya pa nyang i-extend pa. ALthough i don't recommend non-payment of loans as they fall due dahil mataas ang penalty charges, but this flexibility can be handy in times of emergencies.

pero si Maz, medyo tinamaan ng bagyo sa Iloilo eh, last time i texted him, medyo malupit daw ang nangyari sa kanila. kaya medyo naka silent mode.

just a question, talaga bang walang pre-payment option sa auto loan, just like in housing loan?

yung brother ko kasi has 350k outstanding balance sa loan nya. yung payoff amount today is 280k. pero right now, he has excess cash of only 150,000. gusto sana nya ipasok dun sa loan, pero according to the bank no adjustment daw sa payoff amount and outstanding balance. so hindi iiksi yung term or hindi rin ma-lowered yung monthly amortization. yung 150k nya would just be treated as advance payment for the next 2 years ata.

Sa BDO ba may flexible terms like 50% DP, 6 years to pay parang sa mga in-house financing? Sayang kasi offer ng Hyundai-Edsa....or yung sa ford focus promo before....although looking at it at completion e mas mura pa din BPI

you can pay up to 6 years sa BDO. yung DP mo naman, dun mo ibibigay yan sa dealer eh, and the dealer will coordinate with BDO kung magkano pa ang kailangang i-finance.

I think he should finish na lang the term its useless kasi to pay-off the balance kung he already paid more than half na sa term ng loan....dapat half or less... may nakilala akong nag car loan, 4 years ang term...nagparecompute siya mga 2 years after and paid the balance based on the 2-year computation...and not the 4 years...may rebate pa siya for paying early...mga 50K yata... BDO loan....

actually his loan is a 4 year loan and so far 6 months pa lang amortized. he is looking for something like yung sa BDO you mentioned na may rebate or at least shorter term or lower monthly after paying some huge amount.

I think he needs to check sa bank where he had his loan....I think banks would accept that...accelerate niya payments niya....

E hinahabol ko sana by October 31 para ma-avail ko ung unit at a discounted price and at the same time e hindi ako madamay sa price increase come November. Sabi ng SA ko, hingi daw ako sa bank ng unsigned Purchase Order para ma-avail ko ung price na napagusapan namin. Mabilis lang ba humingi nun? Thanks!

initially, i am planning to loan money to buy a 2nd hand car (price range 100-200k) by next year hoping to get a model which is at least 10 years old...

having read some posts here made me think if its possible to avail of car loans for this kind of transaction.. i mean buying a second hand car.. and if so.. what do u think are the requirements?

most big banks only allow at most a four year old car to be financed be , in which the balance will only be paid for a year.

AMA Bank allows up to eight year old cars at most.

for your scenario, it would be an "ipon" basis or if you would want it put on a loan, a different scenario such as salary or personal loans.
