It's the other way around in my case,- mas mura sa casa vs. sa mga insurance sa labas, including iyong broker na pinaka-mura na (except in this case)....

Depende sa Insurance company talaga. For my insurance I can get the LOA in 15 minutes probably, if I go to their office for claims binay ko lang yun requirements and I'll get LOA immediately then diretso na ako caso and they'll just call their contact person doon

thanks for the input. From the quotes i've got so far, casa based is more expensive... yes, more or less 5k higher.

but i've decided getting one from the casa... less hassle.

anong hassle sa pagkuha sa labas? all you have to do is call the insurer and they will issue you a policy right away, unless mas mahalaga ang ang less than one hour mo para tumawag kesa sa 5k.

my hassle with insurance is not with the payment of premium.
my hassle is in the paperwork for the fixin's of the car, after it gets bumped.

and even after one pays for the premium and gives the customer the documents, the insurance company still has to upload the contract into the internet, so's the LTO can confirm it as legit.
it's not easy to upload it if they are, for some reason, not online.

Ok, I missed the point here, hassle in claim pala ang pinag-uusapan, my bad.

May tanong po ako, pag yung third party na nabangga niyo is nag-claim sa insurance nila, at hindi sa insurance ng nakabangga, ano ang babayaran ng nakabangga? Participation fee lang some misc na add-on for the hassle diba? Yung third party kasi namin naniningil ng total repair costs + participation in CASH, at sa amin mismo? E diba insurance to insurance yung usap nun? Ano po ba pwede sabihin dun sa third party para hindi na niya kami kulitin?

    Side Note:

Dapat sa insurance namin ipapasok, kasi natagalan sila sa process nung insurance namin which is BPI/MS, so nag decide sila gamitin un insurance nila.

Wala kang babayaran, hinde ikaw ang naka insured sa Insurance nila. Kahit participation hinde ka dapat magbigay.

Choice nila yun to claim from their insurance Eh di tapos.

I see, nakausap ko nga yung nag aasikaso ng insurance namin, wag daw namin problemahin kasi yung mismong BPI/MS tatawag dun sa insurance nila para sila ang mag-settle.

Hi. Can anyone recommend good insurance companies who can accept a 2005 car model? Even for comprehensive insurance only. Thanks!

    we're in the same boat!
my 2005 innova is still in very good condition, i see no reason why i should replace her. but i don't know who would insure an over-ten-year-old car.

Wala bang compre insurance dati yan ... the previous insurer would me more than happy to renew the insurance past 10 years in my experience ... alam na kasi nila track record ng sasakyan lalo na't sa kanila naman naka-insure ever since.

    "tinanggihan na nila."
a relative's insurer agreed to renew the relative's 11 year old car, "because he was an old customer". but hanggang 11 years na lang daw talaga. hindi na raw puede sa 12th year.

Unique kaya yang pagtanggi sa iilang insurance company or industry wide na ... before we sold it early last month, we were still able to renew the insurance of our 14 year old car before the insurance company we renewed it with was merged with BPI-MS insurance ... so I won't know now if they will deny renewal on its 15th year ... hmmmm.
