January 28th, 2011 12:16 PM #1Hi,
Newbie lang po ako, im soliciting advice from people here about our dilemna with the ALPHA INSURANCE located at no. 1025 San Marcelino St Ermita Manila. Anong kaso ang puede ko pong i file against them?
Sobrang sama ng loob na nakuha ko sa kanila so please guide me if what steps should I take from here.
Any inputs is appreciated. Thanks in advanced.Last edited by missjoan; January 28th, 2011 at 12:20 PM. Reason: incorrect spelling of the title

I think I saw Alpha Insurance sa blacklisted insurance agencies. Kasama na doon ang Imperial. i'll try to find a copy and post it here na lang for our fellow tsikoteers.

I guess you already have a police report. If the insurance company will not pay you, complain to LTO, so that they can't register their truck when the time comes.
Do you have comprehensive insurance? If you do, you should have let your insurance company deal with Alpha directly.
But if I were you, file a police blotter, then bring the police report to LTO, and LTFRB, since trucking yan, to file a formal complain para hindi sila maka register.

hi sir crazy_boy,
Yes I have the police report/documents.

January 28th, 2011 04:09 PM #5You can go straight to the Insurance Commission to resolve this. They have a department that handles claims disputes.
On the other hand, the trucking company cannot absolve themselves of their responsibility. Because they are the party at-fault, ultimately they are the ones liable for your damages.

ts afaik you can only claim from alpha insurance if the truck is covered by comprehensive policy through PD (property damage). TPL only covers bodily injuries.

January 28th, 2011 09:45 PM #8I think the truck does have comprehensive insurance since ALPHA has more or less processed the claim and is only waiting for the "signatures" daw.
I dont think you can go to the LTO and have the truck blacklisted. I dont think you can go to the police either para ipablotter sila. They havent done anything to justify that. It is normal procedure that the Insured will refer all the problems to their insurer, thats what insurance is for. Kaya nga nagpapainsure para walang sakit sa ulo kapag nagkaaksidente. although its also true that if their coverage is not enough to pay for the accident, they do have to shoulder the difference.
Pero since your problem nga is ALPHA and their delaying tactics, pwede mong pakiusapan yung nakabangga na tulungan kayo sa pagfollow up. Sometimes, a follow up coming from their client can have a bigger impact than that coming from a third party claimant.
Unfortunately Alpha is allegedly one of the more "unreliable" insurance companies. Give them a few more days before you complain to the Insurance commission. I think they have a grace period of 30 days to 90 days. Panay follow up din. Wala daw signatory, ek ek.. Palibhasa 3rd party din lang kasi kami and their client didnt help us din. And to think that the amount was only about 6,000 pesos.

January 31st, 2011 05:26 PM #9hi,
