November 22nd, 2010 07:38 PM #37I've been loyal to petron pero nun kumalat ang E10, nawalan na ako ng choice. I started using Blaze. So I stuck with Blaze kasi walang E10. I drive everyday, as in everyday, 60kms, Php200 worth of gas, basta dapat 4 liters laman ng tank ko. I don't park my car with lots of fuel kasi sa umaga, mukhang natutuyo lang din so first thing I do in the morning is to gas up 4 liters, kung ano lang yung kelangan ko.
Mas mabilis mag-evaporate yung XCS at Extra kesa sa Blaze pero dapat yung Blaze gamitin for long steady drives.
Salamat.

Guys,
Sori for the noob question. Ano ba ang negative effect ng E10 blended fuel compared to non E10 blended fuels?
Thanks...

Just to clarify on this point, engine management will automatically compensate for any changes in fuel (atmospheric pressure, etc) to a certain extent to maintain engine efficiency. This helps prolong the life of the engine. Tune ups fo most modern engines today is basically changing the spark plugs and keeping your filters clean. There's no more adjustment of timing, valves clearances, etc. thanks to engine management
I maitain a fairly recent 1.6L EFI and 17 year old 1.4L carbed vehicle as daily drives and for one thing, the EFI is consistent bang-on in power and efficiency day in and day out even if its due for a tune up; the carb on the other hand, reminds me when its due for a tune up by automatically decreasing power and increasing fuel consumption. When it comes to trouble shooting and repairs though, the carbie is easier to pinpoin.
Sayang i just tanked up on XCS, will try the new Blaze next time... unless Niky finished off all the supply.Last edited by vinj; November 22nd, 2010 at 10:56 PM.
