guys, i need ur opinion/suggestion/advice on how i could get some extra power off a diesel engine.. is there a shop that specializes on diesel i/h/e or turbo? and w/c is more advisable between ihe and turbo? btw, my ride is a 1997 kia pregio gs manual... thnx po sa mga input..

June 21st, 2005 05:16 PM #2I have only tried changing the air filter of my diesel ride and there's a bit of an improvement in accelleration.
I believe Mr. Woodfire did some pretty extensive tube jobs (exhaust) with his Pajero to great effect.

June 22nd, 2005 04:27 PM #5Ask the guys at 4x4ph.com what the model number is for the turbo version of the Pregio's engine is. Licensed version iyan ng old Mazda engine and there is a turbo version of it. Instant power iyan. Then you can start doing the turbo mods and stuff.
IMHO, i/h/e won't really be of much benefit to the Pregio. But you could still improve the intake system so it will not be under the driver's foot making it prone to water immersion and possible hydro-locking of the engine if water does get ingested.
