How about Free LTO registration & renewal for the vehicle's life... as long as it passes roadworth inspection(say every 3 instead of yearly & submits proof of insurance? Plus, Priority 10min express lane for free renewal of owner's Driver's license for as long as he owns an EV.... Still won't be enough?[emoji16]

1st world countries dont even do that. Asa pa tayo dito. And the Govt giving up a potential money making opportunity is unheard of [emoji16]

Afaik what some countries do for EV’s:

    - Subsidized purchase price
    - EV Lane on motorways
    - Subsidized cost of charging
    - Special EV parking slots on public places

I may have forgotten some details, feel free to add.

Yeah free LTO and the inspection will cost 10,000 ... US they give $7,500 tax rebate ... they should at least exempt EVs from VAT ...

    ...not interested in nature.
    interested in income.

government should make it financially attractive, for motorists to use hybrids and EVs.
    the anti-pollution advantages are in-calculable.

    by the same token,
government should make it financially attractive for motorists to use gasoline instead of diesel.

PH taxpayers won't benefit by subsidizing luxury electric cars

but we'd get a lot of air and noise pollution reduction by having Gogoros, instead of those noisy smoky motorcycles na walang catalytic converters

Mas malaki po ang percent ng coal energy natin so most likely, coal ang gagamitin para macharge yang mga electric vehicle.

yeah coal today, but in the future we could be charging off of solar, nuclear fusion, etc. the point is there is a PATH for cleaner transportation in the future w/ electric vehicles

my cousin in the US has a chevy volt. i've ridden in it a few times. i'm not a fan of hybrids, too much complexity. i'd rather have a pure battery EV like tesla or Honda-E. i don't even need a long-range EV. most people just drive short distances everyday. so hopefully a small electric car becomes available in the future. i'd definitely buy one for daily use. for long trips i'd just use the gasoline car...
