Cheapness will cost you only your social image in the long run. Unless we're talking Nexus or Norkis cheap... in which case it might cost you your life...
Prius still = :fart1: in the rear seat.
Make it a 45 mpg seven seater, and then, maybe it'll be worth 2 million... :bounceD:
Still, it's a good illustration of cost effectivity in the war on fuel consumption.
CRDi = 100% better than gas at a 100,000 peso price penalty (feature to feature)
Hybrid = 110% better than gas at a 1,000,000 peso price penalty (feature to feature)
CRDi-Hybrid? = 150% better? But how much?
The biggest stumbling block, really, is batteries... batteries = $$$. Until we see cheap batteries, we won't see cheap hybrids.

Bicycle FTW?
But seriously, it's still better for people to be spending big bucks buying hybrids than spending big bucks buying SUVs.
Better for the rest of us who buy gas... more for us!

cycling = instant death, drivers would think that bike lanes would be just another lane for overtaking.

October 30th, 2006 10:13 PM #18Well Diesel cars and hatchbacks are known to be very fuel efficient. i still wonder why other car manufacturers wont bring in diesel cars and insist on hybrid ones which are overly expensive.

despite being 2nd, the Caddy lost to Prius due to the emissions...
how is the Hyundai CRDi compared to the Hybrid Prius in terms of emissions?
Somewhat expected from a rushed car from a first time carmaker
