my engine is not compatible with e10 fuel. in our place, it's hard to find gasoline stations offering non-e10 fuel.that's why my dad is planning to sell it.

To each his own na naman tayo rito.....

TIA!

The real time bomb is August 2010. By law (Biofuel Act) ALL vehicle fuel will be 10% Ethanol. No need to place the E10 sign because ALL FUEL will have 10% ethanol.
Unless the law is repealed.
The real apocalypse follows afterwards. There are now initiatives to have E15 and E20. This will be the ultimate bomb and I doubt any older car (that is older than 10 years) will survive without major modification.
Additional cons of E10 - shelf life. Parang 3 months lang ata. You cannot leave fuel for more than 3 months safely because of the water bonding problem of E10.
Tips on E10 - always FILL YOUR TANK. A tank kept at full often will have LESS WATER for E10 to absorb.

September 3rd, 2009 11:24 AM #98My Car is a Kia pride LX 1995 model.
Since I first tried using e10 from petron and because hindi na daw available ang pure unleaded gasoline nila na xtra. First thing I experienced is reduce power, mahina ang hatak.2). increased fuel consumption. so I adjust the air fuel combination screw to let more fuel in. lumakas ang hatak. Then after about one month of using e10, The carburator gas overflow into the mixing chamber, naturaly nalunod ang makina sa gasolina, tumirik in the middle of the road. The carburator is still original, never been repaired. So I open up the carburator after I manage to let it tuck back to my home. The overflow metering valve is made of rubber, now It come to my mind na baka me kinalaman ang e10 dito because of what I read on this forum na it affects rubber parts. so All I did was increase the spring tesion sa metering valve para magsara kahit hindi pa half level and gaoslina sa viewing glass. put it back and ok nanaman ang makina.
Just to make sure, I switch to XCS for now until I am sure na e10 is the culprit.
Does anybody in this forum experienced this problem???? Share it.

I have serious doubts if the people in Senate and Congress even grasps the problem of E10 gasoline because they all ride in big SUVs and sedans that are either new or relatively new.
For the typical working class person who owns a car, there is a big chance that the car is ten years or older. So it will be a big problem if all gasoline will be ethanol blends.
Currently, the only viable solution would be to upgrade the car to Auto-LPG which would by-pass the ethanol compatibility problem in older cars.
Sulit ah, gamit na gamit.
