Yup... true, but minimal... simply airing out your car before you drive away will minimize the heat penalty from having a darker colored car parked in the sun, and the fuel penalty on the road will be so slight as to be unnoticeable.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

    In theory, TRUE.

Lighter colors, lalo na pag pearl white, will absorb less heat. But then a properly insulated vehicle will absorb minimal heat even with a darker color. Badly insulated cars (older cars, taxis which are badly maintained and insulated) will have heavier heat loads, light colored or dark colored.

And then there is the tint of the windows which will also matter. With a good quality tint (V-Kool, etc.) you reduce heat up to 80-90% and UV/Infrared up to 90% thus the inside cabin is not only cooler but the seats, dashboard, etc. get less damage from the sun.

Will parking under shaded areas help? PARTIALLY. The sun rays does bounce from the road, reflective surfaces and other material and this carry the UV/IR which will still enter a badly (or cheaply) tinted car.

Quality tint + good insulation + lighter color = lessen heat load and lower UV/IR damage resulting to a more economical and durable car.

Isip ko lang ang hot air balloon. Baka gumagaan.
Sa aircon talaga yari pag init ang interior, full blower na apak accelerator para sa compressor to cool faster.

Di ba, among the colors, blue absorbs heat the least. For example, when you wear a white shirt, you feel hotter than when you wear a blue shirt in warm weather. Ganon rin sa roof pagkulay pula ang pintura, mas mainit sa loob ng bahay kumpara sa kung kulay asul ang pintura ng bubong.

Di kaya one is tempted to drive fast when donning flashy colors like red?

    Spirited driving....more fuel consumption.

The sun generates almost every wavelength of visible light. The color of the car only changes its capability to absorb light energy of different wavelengths. While black absorbs most, if not all of the spectrum (ie. flat black), white reflects most of it back out.

Blue will still readily accept every other wavelength which is then converted to heat, except blue light (which is reflected).

fabric is different from metal in terms of their components, but nonetheless I would like a blue car

There is actually truth to this. I've read it from an issue of local car magazine. That whole issue is dedicated to fuel. For one, it aint Top Gear (you now have an idea)...

Bakit naman yung N16 Sentra namin black siya pero ang bilis lumamig kahit babad sa araw and lightly tinted lang (cheap tint from casa)?
For one, perhaps because it's a Nissan.

Does car color affect fuel consumption?
