Up to you. The more you stay in the "good" portion, it should translate to better fuel mileage.

Or you can totally ignore it and go back to your old (good or bad) driving habits.

I think your wifey wouldn't mind if the mod is done clean and tastefully. Just inform her it is to help you save fuel.

GH, from the pictures and illustration, the gauge has a range of 0 to 30 "Hg. Is this the only range that is applicable? Is this applicable for Diesel engines as well? And finally, are there adverse effects on the engine if the installation will have leaks or the vacuum gauge becomes damaged at any time?

    yes.

Is this applicable for Diesel engines as well?
no because there is no throttle valve which helps generates the vacuum inside the intake manifold.

yes, if you have leaks in the installation, your engine can run a little "funky" because the air-fuel ratio will be leaner than it should be.

One of the useful features ng MID ay yung instantaneous fuel consumption. naging light footed din ako dahil dito.

I think puwede naman, as long alam nila alin ang vaccum line at paano maglagay ng connectors na hindi mag leak.
