November 12th, 2005 04:54 AM #1i read this on one of this week's Business Mirror issues. Apparently the geniuses at Malacanang are coming up with a scheme wherein people using gas would subsidize the cost of diesel. Nothing final yet, though naghihint na of something similar.
not sure if this covers diesel for PUJs only though
tataas lang ung sales ng diesel cars dito. mabuti sana kung euro 4 na ung diesel dito. kawawa naman mga baga natin

d2 kasi sina-subsidize diesel para sa mga PUV's natin.
* Tax-exempt ang mga PUV drivers, I dunno about PUV Operators
* Gasoline Owners pay more on gas so that PUV's can have lower diesel price.
* PUV's hug more than 70% of our roads.
* Our diesel is cheaper to produce hence dirtier (as proven dun sa CRD-i thread)
if that's the best that our govt. think tanks can come up with, then come what may na lang ...
