August 12th, 2010 12:25 PM #22Hmmm...pero hindi naman racer boy yung seller mo? I'm hoping hindi naman na abuse yung engine syempre....
If you will consider overhauling your car at that age and mileage, it is definitely recommended to replace the overhauling gasket kit, isama mo narin yung piston rings, timing belt, check the valves and all 4 Oil seals, us NOK oil seals.
Can't remember the exact amount for those parts but its somewhat like this:
---- Orig Toyota PISTON Rings = Php 2,6k - 3k
---- Orig Toyota Overhauling gasket kit = Php 2,6k - 3k din
---- Labor around 4k - 5k. Will take you 1 to 2days to repair.
Yes it will cost you quite an amount but at the mileage and age of your car, replacing those parts is a very good idea. Ako when I had all those change, plus bnew Toyota timing belt, brandew Sanden A/C and Denso Radiator fan, brand new Sanden a/c compressor, fresh power steering fluid, clutch and brake fluid, coolant.....HAAAAAYYYY SARAAAAPPPP ng feeling. As in worry free kasi napaka swabe ng engine for a car na 130k kms na ang mileage.

August 12th, 2010 01:00 PM #23Sir Napagandang plan ito,
I'll make sure I'll have this on my maintenance plan for the car.
Hindi naman racer boy mejo mahilig lang sa porma
Pina check ko sa mekaniko dati ung engine and sabi OK daw.
But still, its best to have those maintenance replacements you have mentioned.
Pero I'll start with the timing and the carb overhauling first, see if the FC goes down.
Maraming salamat bro,

Nice! Good luck and keep us posted
Also keep your tire pressure correct. And easy on the gas pedal, keep the revs below 2k RPM...kaso wala ka nga pala RPM gauge. Siyet!
Palagay ka RPM gauge.

August 13th, 2010 03:17 PM #28Mga Sir,
Update lang po.
-> I had my timing checked and it was set * 15! I had it changed to 10.
-> Price daw of labor ng Carb overhaul is Php800, ala pa yung repair kit. OK po ba yung price na yun?
Magkano po yung repair kit?
-> After ko ipa overhaul ang carb, I will check again my FC and hopefully it goes down.

August 13th, 2010 03:47 PM #29KITA MO NA!!!! Hehehehe.
Sobrang advance nyan. Very responsive on the gas pedal but will require you to shift at a higher RPM cuz if not mag "pinging" yung engine...in the end will consume more gas of course.
Mataas ang Php 800 for labor nyan, dapat Php 500 below.
Repair kit mga Php 500 below din, replacement part lang.

Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
