    Mga Sir,

    Update lang po.
-> I had my timing checked and it was set * 15! I had it changed to 10.
-> Price daw of labor ng Carb overhaul is Php800, ala pa yung repair kit. OK po ba yung price na yun?
    Magkano po yung repair kit?
-> After ko ipa overhaul ang carb, I will check again my FC and hopefully it goes down.

    KITA MO NA!!!! Hehehehe.

Sobrang advance nyan. Very responsive on the gas pedal but will require you to shift at a higher RPM cuz if not mag "pinging" yung engine...in the end will consume more gas of course.

Mataas ang Php 800 for labor nyan, dapat Php 500 below.

Repair kit mga Php 500 below din, replacement part lang.

I measured my Fuel Consumption (FC) using the full tank method.
    For City driving = 5.55Km/Li
    For Highway driving = 7.33Km/Li

Any suggestions on how I can increase my FC?
I have already done the following:
    1. Cleaned my card with carb cleaner (sprayed inside while high revving)
    2. Changed my fuel filter
    3. Oil Changed, replaced oil filter
    4. Replaced high tension wires (thick diameter type)
    5. Replaced spark plugs (4 split tip type)
    6. Changed PCV valve

I dont know if what I've done so far relates to increasing my FC, but if you have any effective ideas, it would definitely be appreciated.

    Thanks and regards...
Bro lakas sa gaso 2E mo. Considering 1.3L engine, it contradicts small engine less fuel rule. 5.5km/li para kang nka SUV w/out the luxury & power! My 2E corolla before was ranging 10-12km/li, aircon all the way on city driving & 14-16km/li on hiway! 12 pag bago oil, plugs, filters, tuneup. 10 pag lagpas na 5K-kms on annual maintenance. Kung di parin na resolve FC issue mo, in spite the above improvements you might want to consider doing this:
    1. Engine compression test; pag bagsak change engine na parehas lang gastos sa over haul w/less effort. Pag pasado then try fuel & emission test again.
    3. Clutch assembly; pull-down tranny, installed clutch may be cheap replacement kaya di masyadong makapit. If you have budget install aftermarket pressure plate yun branded ha, pra segurado(mahal labor ng trans kaya 1 babaan lang). Im not sure w/the brand pero eto yun less fingers than OEM(kahit 3rd gear kumakamot tires!).
    3. Under chassis issues; such as, Joints, Links, Rods, Camber & Alignment Correction. Particularly on front cause thats where acceleration & steering.
    4. OEM air filter is still the best. Aftermarket performance upgrades are good if youre purpose is pleasure not comfort. Plus it lessens the life of youre engine (thanks to our gurus in this forum for this input)
    5. Try Casa, like SERVITEK, believe me its worth the cost, less headache, less errors & again less effort. My warranty pa, just make sure they have the facility para 1 lugar nlang gawaan (stay away from HORRIBLE RAPIDE).
Bro, Im no mechanic, I just learn from experience. Currently Im driving a 16V EFI-DOHC engine. Coming from a 1.3 engine, imagine difference of both engines on FC & power. Masarap ZOOM-ZOOM kaso masaklap minamagnet ng gasolinahan un kotse. Plus ala ako alam sa EFI kaya kamote mode ako sa pag tune up but I'm still trying my best. AMEN!

Actually you should do what i am doing by adapting a plate to equip a Nissan 120Y carburettor....to the manifold.
Then installing a Hot Spark Electronic Ignition Conversion Kit Replaces Points - All Underneath the Distributor Cap kit.

in the olden days, we had a collection of carb jets of different sizes.
we woulld replace 'em one at a time, until we got a good combination of pulling power and thriftiness.
we would also tinker with the air bleed valve and idling adjustment.
dun lang naman puedeng i-adjust ang carb, e.
bending the float ... doesn't do much.

also, see if your ignition timing is adjusted right, and that it moves with the rpm. it might be stuck, kasi.

btw, non-big body. generic recommendations lang. heh heh.

    Rule of thumb:

Keep the car as stock as possible if you want it to be fuel efficient.
