great news! at the rate that diesel is rising, it won't be long when having a biodiesel blend will be comparable, price-wise, to pure diesel.

just read the other day na marikina is supporting the biodiesel movement. People in marikina are encouraged to use biodiesel as an alternative source to the high prices of diesel fuel.

ako din after using biodiesel napansin ko may mga carbon deposits nung nagstop ako gumamit. (after magfulltank ulit ) Subukan ko ulit. Hindi kaya ganun ang nissan engines?
Pero nung ginamit ko ang biodiesel very minimal ang usok ko lalo na pag high revs at matipid sa gas

di kaya mas mainit ang combustion with biodiesel? established na ba na hindi? kasi if significantly hotter (which might explain the better burn), baka naman mag shorten life ng engines.

I heard this is the case for other additives.

Sa palagay ko hindi naman, I've been using biodiesel for a year now and nasa normal temperature pa rin ang thermometer ko.

ano masasabi nyo? may pareho ba kayong observation?

baligtarin mo pre...full tank ka muna bago mo ilagay biodiesel. and yes biodiesel and diesel are very compatible. it's not like an oil and water thing. both are nonpolar chemicals at are mutually soluble... check it out for yourself to be convinced. bili ka ng isang litrong diesel...haulan mo ng isang litro din ng biodiesel.

again... the main benefit of biodiesel is reduction of tailpipe emissions... yung increase in horsepower...negligible lang yun... around 2% lang yun in a benchtest that I saw. inconclusive pa kung meron nga talaga increase in power and mileage... what's conclusive is that emissions are reduced due to improved combustion of the fuel and fuel lubricity is improved = fuel lubricity will mainly lubricate the fuel pump... not the engine internals.

Ako naman biodiesel muna bago diesel, para pagpasok ng diesel sa tank nahahalo na ito.

Pareho tayo Falken mag mix ng Bio-diesel with diesel. Add ko lang na I see to it that I will be traveling once nag-mix ako. This is to stir the contents in a stop and go situation. I do not know if consistency of mixing is attained by overnight parking at garage. Can anybody from senbel or garyq give us tips for the proper mixing?

mga bros very accurate ang comments ni rsnald. Maganda ang solubility ng BD and it mixes very well sa diesel. I fill in first and bd after or sometimes naman the other way around As suggested try niyo sa maliit na quantity and you can see it mixes very well.

i've read in another thread way back last year that BD is aggressive to ordinary rubber and might not be compatible with stock rubber fuel lines. is this true? do we really have to replace the stock ones and with what type? tia

unfortunately, yes it's true. cocodiesel for one is a much more agressive solvent (has more dissolving power) than automotive diesel. ang specified rubber na resistant to biodiesel is viton rubber. that's the downside of BD. the upside of that is that its dissolving power will also ensure that your fuel lines (and fuel tank) is also clean, meron kang built in degumming solvent. afaik, all or most vehicles after 2000 have rubber tubing that are resistant to biodiesel.

paano naman po yung mga vehicles na luma from 1980's to 1990's? safe din po ba gamitin ang bio-diesel para dito?

no choice but to change rubber tubings/gaskets. simple rule of thumb, kung gasoline resistant rubber sya, resistant na din yan sa biodiesel. mas matapang ang gasoline vs. diesel in terms of solvency power.

Mahal yang bioexceed and envirotek ng Flying V, Try to get Estrol from Senbel, kalahati lang presyo, parehong quality rin.
