    if yours is daily driven & not into racing, all brand will do, just follow what's recommended in your car's manual.

    i'm using Petron Ultron Rallye (10w-40) semi-synthetic, every 7mos or 7K whichever comes first.

    What I suggest is to follow your cars recommended oil viscosity and changed it often.

    Changing oil earlier than 5,000kms is better than buying expensive fully sythetic oils and maxing it to 10,000kms.

    Do the math, it will sum-up with almost the same price....the point is that your engine oil is as fresh, new and clean as often as possible.

    ===================================

    For my 2005 Altis 1.6E A/T, I used Shell Helix Plus 5w-40 Semi-synthetic * Php 320/liter x 4 = Php 1,280 and change oil every 2 months regardless if its 5,000kms or not. Usually my 2 months worth of travel is equal to 4,000kms.

    If you use a Fully-Synthetic oil * Php 700/liter x 4 = Php 2,800.

    So to comare:
    ==================
    ---- Semi-Synthetic = Php 1,680 / 4liters x 6 (5,000kms every 2months) = Php 7,680 cost of oil per year

    ---- Full-Synthetic = Php 2,800 / 4liters x 6 (5,000kms every 2months) = Php 16,800 cost of oil per year

    Just add the cost of the oil filter and labor...

    Yes. Especially with the 1.6L engine on the ZZ models which are prone to sludging.

    Don't know if you can get this there yet but Rotella T6 full synthetic is probably one of the best new oils out there. Many turbo diesel owners are switching to it due to is sever duty performance and additives.

    ano po ba ang magandang engine oil?
    thanks alot in advance
    OK na yang ginagamit mo,bihira nga lang gumagamit dyan sa atin ng fullsyn dahil sa laki ng agwat sa presyo.

    +1 any engine oil will do as long as tama viscosity, follow PMS & of course your budget. me, after searching/reading here what's the best engine oil, i settled down w/ Petron Ultron Rallye (semi-synth 10W-40), change every 7K kms or 7mos. whichever comes first.

    Then kahit mutigrade from reputable companies na oil lang tapos 6 mos or 5,000kms would do indeed.

    Even for the TS, old school nissan pa naman, no need for fully syn IMO. Kahit semi-syn lang tapos early change oil lang para mas matipid at oka pa rin protection.
