    Makes me wonder..

In a 15km stretch may nadaanan akong 3 petron gas stations.. I usually fill up with XCS so yun ang tinitingnan kong price lagi..

1st petron gas station XCS is at P43.07.
2nd petron gas station XCS is at P41.00.
3rd petron gas station XCS is at P44.**.

If petron can offer XCS as low as P41, why can't they offer the same price sa ibang gas stations nila?

Senxa na po kung mejo stoofid ang Q, hindi ko lang talaga alam ang sagot..
    Thanks!

Different management and ownership din ang mga gas stations. AFAIK their principal (say Petron Corporation) does not impose a ceiling on the pump price per liter of their products. It all boils down to how much in terms of profit margin they want to earn (maybe to cover for overhead and other expenses plus net profits for the management of the said gasoline station.)

According to my tita who owns one gas station, she says that it's because of the market price in the said area. In a 15km stretch, there are three market areas. So it differs from one market area to another but still they buy the oil/gas at a global price. Kung baga, lugi naman ako pag mas mababa ako sa kanila. Kahit na mas mababa ako and madami akong customers, meron parin silang advantage kasi impossible naman na di sila magkacustomer. Another factor daw is that nauusap usap sila para walang away. Sa service nalang daw magkakatalo. Another thing would be, costs. Freight at kung ano ano pang charge. Rent of the place is one big factor as well. Dami nga nyang sinabi tungkol dito pero di ko na matandaan lahat.
This is not a stupid question. A lot of people asked this question and as what they say "To acquire intelligence and wisdom, one must ask to the littlest detail." Di ko lam kung sino nagsabi nito pero nabasa ko lang sa book

I guess I'll disagree with this one unless meron refinery or depot dito sa cavite.. Heads up lang mga bossing, you'll probably find the cheapest gasoline and diesel here in Cavite..

    Ciao!
