Tanong ko lang sir, you would rather get the diesel variant tapos papa dual fuel nyo with LPG? Or stick to diesel only?

    Thanks din sir

Auto-LPG conversion is only applicable for gasoline fueled vehicles.

So if you buy a diesel vehicle... you can only use diesel fuel in it.

(if i were buying a Revo second hand, i'd probably go for the slow, but efficient and reliable 2.4L diesel version)

Sir if you can share your idea rather why would you go for diesel variant instead of a gasoline/LPG dual fuel? Wala talaga kasi ako any idea or clue. Konti pa lang background ko sa mga sasakyan.

If you frequently go out of the city with the AUV, that alone would be a good reason to choose a diesel version AUV. Auto-LPG stations are easy to find in Metro Manila but it is practically absent once you leave the metro.

On the maintenance side of things, gasoline & diesel engines have about the same cost for maintenance when taken in a long term view.

In bad weather which results in flooding of the roads, diesel engines do better since all they need is air and fuel. So as long as the air intake is above water, it'll just chug along. Gasoline engines will stall once it's electrics get wet. So a diesel vehicle can go through deeper flood waters.

In addition to what GH mentioned, the 1.8L gas Revo is a guzzler for it's size (6km/L+ average consumption AFAIK). I've gotten to use a GLX and SR diesel model from time to time and it is slow but gets the job done and is light on the fuel pocket. If i were to get a gasoline Revo, i may lean more on the 2.0L version with a manual transmission... then LPG it. Try also to get in touch with Nick of Xoom if you're interested in going for an LPG Revo as he can give you feedback on this along with a price quotation so you can do the numbers (general service when you buy the vehicle, LPG conversion, etc.). In my case, i broke even on my LPG kit in less than two years.

Just had my corolla's Auto-LPG kit tuned-up at Xoom. Cost = P50. (Carb-type with efi emulator kit)

Some of my gas fuel injectors weren't working so i dropped by Speedyfix as well. After some work under the hood, somehow all the injectors are now running again. Weird but it saves me a few bucks instead of having to replace the injectors (for now)...

    Thanks in advance,
The money i put out for the installation of my LPG kit (39-40K) has already more than paid for itself in terms of the realized savings i have on the fuel cost incurred in using that car.

The difference in the price of Auto-LPG fuel vs gasoline... if you compute the cost savings every time you fill up, you can estimate how many months it would take to save enough money to equal the installation cost of the Auto-LPG kit.

I should have broke even with my lpg convertion cost in 10months. After that its pure savings. Plus i save more money by frequently using my gli corolla and leaving my innova at home still very fresh after 3yrs of ownership. :-)

Im supposed to convert my innova to lpg within this year.

They want to check the mechanical gauge attached to the LPG tank. The typeical LED LPG fuel gauge is not too accurate... it just tells you full, 3/4, half, 1/4, empty.

I am just fortunate my system reads in percentages between 85% down to 12% in increments of 1%.

My LED indicator is quite "conservative".

When i'm doing 10km/L++ average in fuel consumption, here's the sequence of my LED indicator going off as against my trip meter which i reset to zero when i fill up my LPG tank:
1st LED goes off at the 80-100km mark
2nd LED goes off at the 130km mark
3rd LED goes off at the 230-250km mark
Low Warning (beep and blinking 4th LED) goes off between 250-260km mark

I can still go all the way to 500km without running out of LPG at this rate (have not encountered running my LPG tank dry). I usually gas up when i hit the 400km mark on my trip meter though.

May problem yung LPG sa A33 Cefiro. After engine swap, the LED turned off. Checked the fuse ok naman. What could be the problem?

Just bring it back to the installer and let them figure it out.

Assuming the Auto-LPG kit is still functioning without the LED display, it could be a busted LED module.

^Thanks. Called Macro recently but they only do service by appointment.

BTW I replaced my engine because of constant overheating. When the new engine was installed, there was still an unusual high pressure from the cooling system. And since the LPG kit isn't functioning, I asked the mechanic to bypass the "vaporizer". It instantly relieved the pressure from the cooling system (the upper rad hose is no longer bloated).

Been two months already and no overheat. My new engine seems ready for LPG. So I'll have the it reactivated asap. I hope the LPG's ECU is still intact.

is it possible that the vaporizer is leaking lpg gas into the cooling system that can result to bloated or ruptured hoses?

I thought of this before when i had some coolant flow problems but the guy at Greenfuel before said it wasnt the case (i changed my vaporizer though). I cured my coolant backflow problem by changing my radiator cap which was already busted pala.

I'm getting the itch to convert my 2012 Altis to LPG as well. I drove my LPG'd 2007 Altis yesterday and boy i really love the feeling of gassing up at P25/L and flooring the gas whenever i want to. :D
