i have an EU type filler.

i filled my LPG tank full and when i reached home, i heard a whistling sound at the rear and as i suspected, the filler was the culprit.

i immediately thrust the middle ball of the filler using a ballpen and voila, the whistling sound stopped.

Is this a sign that i have to change the filler?

My last LPG refill was again normal. No whistling sound.

hi aamd.

that happened to me before.

culprit: rust on the bearing ball on the filler valve that made the valve sealing ineffective. (some rusting occured after i lost my filler cap)(i suspect the gas boy did not cover it back).

my solution: after poking the filler valve, i sprayed some lubricant to fight rusting. then i got a new filler cap. (now, i uncover/cover back my filler cap to prevent losing it again coz it's not easy sourcing out a simple filler cap for lpg.)

never had the same prob anymore. my lpg kit was installed june 2008 at greenfuel too.

OT: bro, are you the one i met at speedlab before with the lpg-equipped rav4?
