It seems there is a "small" problem with SGI-LPG systems being sensitive to the cleanliness of the LPG supply. Some Auto-LPG refueling stations seems to pump "contaminated" LPG. The contamination is oil.

Since LPG injectors were designed to flow gaseous LPG so oil (in liquid form) can clog up the injector from flowing properly.

Venturi LPG systems seems to be unaffected by this problem.

LPG stations who regularly clean their tanks are better because this will minimize the oil contamination. Along Shaw, the better stations seems to be CLEANFUEL and TOTAL. Worst offender along Shaw is Petron Shaw.

So does it mean that the LPG fuel filter is not capable of filtering this kind of contaminant? as such particulate matter only?

I think the LPG filter isn't design to separate liquids from the LPG itself.

Cars equipped with venturi LPG systems aren't affected. SGI systems with their injectors are the ones that will have problems if the oil contamination is severe enough.

I was at GreenFuel this morning, Mike showed me the oil contaminants coming from my LPG tank after he bleed some LPG vapor from the vaporizer to a white cloth and evidently there's really too much oil.

There was also a Camry there this morning with the same problem, and a vios taxi as well.

I went to GreenFuel due to weird idling problem, jerking, loss of power and occasional stalling and the culprit is lpg oil contamination.

It was a good thing that GreenFuel is now authorized to calibrate and clean Valtek rail (though they already changed my rail assembly twice at no extra cost) and all my previous problem are now solved. For now I will try to monitor my FC since I can now drive on LPG without hesitations.

BTW, the oil contaminant that was so severe, I do got it from CleanFuel E. Rodriguez which is the sole station I do refills. but not anymore

    To all LPG users,

Can you at least give us the LPG refilling station that has oil contamination on their tanks just so we can avoid the hassle what the problem will do to the FC's of our vehicles. Can you just give us list of stations which you can recommend to be free of oil contamination. Mike please recommend us this station. Thanks

Since my LPG conversion last July too many problem has evolve and for a while I thought it was the spark plugs, so since then have I tried all sorts of spark plug equivalent to my stock plugs including the expensive Iridium plugs but today I saw the culprit - LPG oil contaminants.

Today after GreenFuel fixed my idling problems, I ran around 60Kms and check my spark plug firing ends and they are clean and whitish, while my previous plugs during the worse idling problem has black deposits and this is due to oil contaminats.

Again, I thank GreenFuel people for their willingness to solve my problem even its not their fault anymore. It cost them lots of manpower hours and to think they have replaced twice my rail previously. When Lorna did a follow call on me 2 weeks ago I told them I switched back to 100% gasoline because of my idling problem on LPG and I have no time to drop to their shop, Mike even offered to drop at my workplace last week just to fix my problem but I insist to have it fix at their shop which was done today. Again thanks to GreenFuel

Did Greenfuel clean the entire system or just the injector rails? How long did it take to clean them? Same thing happened to me this weekend, I went to Subic and was able to do a round trip with roughly 35 L of LPG. After 330 + kms, filled up and after several kms. the engine had hesitations then stalled. Same thing happened the morning after. contaminated siguro ung nakarga or build up sa tank because nasaid ung laman ng tank. Newly changed ung spark plugs and air filter ko and newly tuned LPG system so I'm convinced na contaminated fuel nga. Will visit my installer tomorrow.

Just the injector rail that is failing, it's actually the injector solenoid valves that are getting stuck.

It was likely my Camry. I brought it to Greenfuel last Saturday morning to have my donut tank replaced from 40L to 55L. I don't think I have the oil contaminants problem. My problem was mostly power loss after about 30 minutes of driving. After the tank replacement, Mike himself did my LPG tuning. And so far, I think they got it! I used the car Saturday, yesterday, and today without any noticeable power loss! Yehey!

Question na lang is kung ok ba FC ko. I'll observe it for 2 or 3 more full tanks and report back.

    Cheers!

Sorry for the confusion of oily LPG contaminated vehicles, it was told to me by one of the tech guy there that you are also having the same problem like mine and probably he was referring to one of the problem I had like power loss.
