The drawback of Korean cars being, there aren't really many fans of them outside of the owners who are already invested in the car. The reason they "look good" when new is because they're a pretty good interpretation of a motoring ideal.
Remember the Hyundai Genesis Coupe from around 2010? It looked good and sold well because it was a "two-door sports coupe", but these days resale values are way down because there are newer and better two-door sports coupes, and nobody was really attached to the Genesis Coupe in particular. The older Nissan 350Z now sells for significantly more, even Japanese converted RHD units.
