Ground clearance is fairly low, but the driving position on the Soul is high. My Swift technically has higher ground clearance than my Soul (165 vs 170 mm), but inside the Soul the driver sits as tall as most CUVs. Yes, even if comparing the Soul with stock 16" wheels and the Swift already on upgraded 17" wheels, the Soul is still noticeably taller.
If the stock ground clearance isn't enough, you can always upsize your wheels like I did. I have the old Soul, but it shouldn't be different from the new Soul in this aspect.
In terms of exterior dimensions. It's definitely on the small side. It's just 4.1 meters long, shorter than subcompact sedans like the Vios and City, but slightly longer than superminis like the Swift and Jazz.
P.S. The Hyundai i20 Active diesel is overpriced in the Philippines. For about the same price as the Soul: 1) The i20 is nowhere as spacious as the Soul. 2) The i20 only has a 1.4 diesel while the Soul has a 1.6. 3) The driver doesn't sit as high on the i20 compared to the Soul. 4) The i20 diesel is only available in manual while the Soul has a 6 speed AT with manual mode.
