First bnew ko to kung sakali.
Gusto ko yung jetta dahil sa features at looks, kaso prob ko yung parts niya kung i'll keep the car for 10 or more years and kung may magagaling/maalam bang magayos ng VW dito satin.

    Jetta:
    +Features
    +Looks
-Parts availability after a couple of years
    -Possible lack of good mechanics

    Accent:
    +Price
    +Parts
    -Features
    -Build quality
    -DCT

^^^ The Jetta is a better car overall compared to the Accent. The comparison is even far when you compare the Altis over the Vios.

By the way, DCT and DSG are the same thing. VW just calls their dual-clutch tranny as DSG (direct-shift gearbox).

If you have doubts on VW reliability/maintenance and build quality of the cheap Hyundais, you might as well look at the Honda Civic 1.8L or Toyota Altis 1.6V instead.

Target ko kasi sir diesel for practical reasons(consumption and price of diesel).

If you plan to stay with the official dealerships, you may want to rethink the accent. If you can source your own service/parts outside, the accent should be no problem.

bakit sir? yung cost/problems ba ng pag maintain ng warranty outweigh the cost ng pag source ng parts outside ng casa?

Hyundai local dealerships have a bad rep and you may find yourself spending more on maintenance if you opt to have your PMS done with them. Many local Hyundai owners do their PMS outside of casa.

VW only follows a 12-month/15k km PMS cycle. I am not sure if it is still true but Hyundai casas mandate a 3-month PMS cycle.

Just so we will not spread further misconception on some types of trannies. DCT or DSG or any other dual clutch transmissions are the same in principle but their build is dependent on the manufacturer. Just because one manufacturer has a crappy product does not mean other manufacturers' similar product is crappy also.

I would suggest that you try and test drive both vehicles. What others may say may not apply the same to you. Also, thru the test drive, you will know how a car feels.

We have a Jetta 1.6TDI DSG and it is a far better ride than the Accent CRDi I have ridden on Uber cars. A Fiesta or Jazz has better interiors than an Accent. VW's DSG is smoother than Ford's DCT.
