IMHO the only thing the Vios has going for it is the price. It's not that roomy at all - especially at the back where rear headroom is seriously lacking for someone 5'8" in height. Even the looks don't appeal - while the old Vios was just as cramped at least it looked better to these peepers.
Interior room, performance, quality of materials - the City has all the bases covered better. The L13A 1.3L engine just shines with the manual gearbox, too - getting the automatic will be a mistake as it just robs the engine of its capabilities.
