City, definitely. The facelifted 1.5E is actually really good value.

    - Bigger, more powerful engine with the same FC as the Vios
    - Better styling inside and out
    - Same features as the Vios E

For those who say that Honda maintenance is expensive, remember that they only require 10,000 km intervals while Toyota requires 5,000 km PMS.

If the City costs 5k per 10,000 km and the Vios only needs 3k per 5,000 km, then the City still comes out cheaper overall to maintain. And even if you assume that the City comes out slightly more expensive to maintain, what's the big apprehension with spending an extra 1-2k every 6 months for a much better car?

I honestly don't see the point of the 1.3E Vios anymore given how well-packaged the City 1.5E is. Spare parts will be cheaper out of the casa for the Vios but unless you run your vehicle to the ground like taxi/Uber operators do, you won't need to replace anything major within the next 100,000 km anyway.

new city has higher ground clearance. 1.5l sohc engine is indestructible. rear suspension can accomodate more than the vios.

    Update:

With the good deal my bank is offering, my options changed. The city is now out of the equation. Instead, it's now between the vios 1.5 G A/T and the yaris 1.5G A/T. What do you think? Vios 1.3E A/T or City 1.5E CVTVios 1.3E A/T or City 1.5E CVTVios 1.3E A/T or City 1.5E CVT

    i'm also coming from a 2.0L M/T car, a 2nd gen [H] CR-V to be exact.
    1. Baka mabitin sa 1.3L, that's why I looking at 1.5L
    2. The extra door out back is very useful when you need to load bulky stuffs, kaya pumasok si yaris sa option. But haven't read reviews about the yaris so far. And none of my friends or relatives have one yet.

    Inputs will be much appreciated.

Might submit the loan application tomorrow... requirements all ready.

TIA! Vios 1.3E A/T or City 1.5E CVT

    I would still get a City E over a Vios G.

If City VX vs Vios G, even more lopsided in favor of the Honda.

If it was me, I'd probably pick the Yaris.
I kind of like the exterior styling better than the Vios. Plus you are somewhat unique since there's not much Yaris seen on the road Unlike the Vios where they are virtually everywhere.

And also, if I'm not mistaken, they share the same platform, so parts wouldn't be an issue.

But I gotta be honest with you, my vote would still go for the City 1.5E (though sadly, it's no longer an option for you).

Based on my experience, hatchbacks are more kid/baby friendly because of the easy-access to the luggage area.
    Just sharing.

You will be needing that trunk when you carry a bulky baby stroller. A hatchback will be fine if you don't have to carry a bunch of stuff. The City's trunk is quite big for its size.
