Kia Carnival, perhaps? the 99-02 variant with the 2.9L turbo intercooler engine. If possible stay away from the matics though, heard that they are quite problematic.

Hindi ba talaga siya dadagdag sa budget? Kahit konting addition aside from the money he gets from selling the Revo? A Hyundai Accent with all power amenities would be nice.

    1. Chevrolet Optra (2004-05) - bad choice, no parts, guzzles gas
    2. Ford Lynx
    3. Honda City (2000-2002) - for the money, you can do better. Too much of a stripped down car as compared to contemporaries.
    4. Mitsubishi Lancer (2000-2002)
    5. Nissan Sentra (2000-2004)
    6. Chevrolet Aveo Hatch - bad choice, not durable, rebranded korean car.
    7. Hyundai Getz - gas version not as fuel efficient as other small hatchbacks
    8. Hyundai Matrix - dead ugly.
    9. Kia Picanto - ok car, but still kinda small.

How much did he sell the Revo for? Among the choices, I'd pick the Honda City and the Hyundai Matrix. Pero may particular variants. Sa City dapat Type-Z VTi tapos sa Matrix dapat CRDi. You wouldn't go wrong with either one. Both are very fast and fuel efficient.

Then you won't go wrong with either one. Either he doesn't add anything more and get the City Type-Z VTEC or add some more and get the more spacious Matrix. Remember, both are very fast and efficient vehicles!

Even the Vios can't be had for 200-300k. Avanza pa kaya? Besides, its engine is PALTRY when compared to the City VTEC and the Matrix CRDi.

It's just out of curiosity.... He is not considering the Vios anyway, since they have a Vios in their garage... No Hyundai Matrix CRDi for below 300k

Yes, but there are those selling for slightly above 300k. Hindi ba siya willing na mag-add ng konti? He'd be getting that back naman in terms of fuel savings.

    Guys,

I'm also looking for a car for around 200T budget. I was thinking of a 2000-2004 Lynx or 2001-2005 Sentra (N16). How is the Ford Lynx in terms of parts and reliabilty? Madali na ba maka-source ng parts nito? What do I need to look for when looking at a Lynx? Timing belt ba ang Lynx? Sa Sentra diba timing chain ito? Kasi karamihan ng nakita ko sa price range na yan nasa 100T kms or more ang natakbo.
